Example: it has been a long term trend that people wear blue jeans (trend), however the type, style and colour vary according to the time period (fad)

Changing Work Environment Traditional Business Way: people

are employed to perform all services, benefits are paid, with insurance, vacation time, and retirement pensions. The idea is that good workers will stay a long time, less staff turnover, workers will be loyal. Each business has separate depts. who handle all the company’s needs inhouse.

Future Business Way?? – Business owner employs only enough people to do the core business work. All other business needs are outsourced

What is Outsourcing? The contracting out of a job that used to be done by a

unit within the organization.
