    Treasury Management:

    Purpose

    Treasury comprises the components Cash Management, Treasury Management, Loans and Market Risk

    Management.

    The treasurer uses the analyses of the current liquidity and risk situation to make decisions about futurecompany investments and borrowings, taking the conditions on the financial markets into account. Theresulting financial transactions are then entered in Treasury Management.

    The targets of Treasury Management are:

    to support management of financial transactions and positions from the trading stage through

    back office processing to the transfer to Financial Accounting.

    To provide flexible reporting to analyze financial transactions and positions.

    Treasury Management comprises the components Basic Functions, Money Market, Foreign Exchange,Derivatives and Securities.

    Integration

    Treasury Management is linked to Cash Management, Market Risk Management and Financial

    Accounting.The following graphic shows the components and interfaces of SAP Treasury.

    you can branch directly to the individual components.

    You enter transactions and exercise rights under the trading area, where the following utilities

    are available:

    -cross rate calculator

    -option price calculator

    -option spread

    -securities account overview

    -collective processing

    -fast entry templates

    You check and settle your transactions underback office processing.

    You can keep a check on your transactions using:

    - the release procedure

    -authorization management (transaction authorizations, trader authorizations)

    In addition, correspondence functions are available:

    - dealing slips

    -confirmation letters/files

    In the securities area, position management includes functions for:

    - position valuation- corporate actions to represent changes in capital

    - securities account transfers- balance sheet account transfers

    The Accounting area provides the following functions:

    - posting functions relating to flows for specified and non-specified periods- enhanced payment program for payment requests- period end closing- accrual/deferral and valuation functions

    Information System

    - link to SAP drilldown reporting tool- journal- payment plan

    - posting overview- position evaluations

    Market data
