BackgroundEvaluation of research implementation is part of the continuous process of ensuring the research conducted or sponsored through NJDOT Bureau of Research is viable and applicable.Survey of research customers selected as the most effective instrument for evaluation.Survey directed to practitioners at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC), and the New Jersey Transit.ObjectivesInvestigate the extent to which the results of CRP research respond to the practical needs of NJDOT, NJMVC, and NJ Transit by identifying:Project results implemented in practice and evaluate the success of the applied research.Projects considered (or reviewed) for application, but not implemented. Also, what are the reasons for not applying the findings of the research?Key factors that contribute to the success of the reviewed research projects.Survey InstrumentInternet survey instrument designed by NJIT in collaboration with NJDOT Bureau of Research and peer reviewed by practitioners from other States.Intuitive and user-friendly interface allows respondents to quickly select and evaluate a project. Currently includes all NCHRP and TCRP projects completed by the end of 2009.Projects completed in 2010 and first half of 2011 will be added this summer.Survey Instrument
