It's proposed that the header have less height in the viewport so that it maximizes area for the map.

This ilustrates how the header would behave when set up to be responsive. Rather than eliminate them, the logos would move to the footer in portrait tablet and phone form factors.

Filters Panel BehaviorsDate Input Widget

Clicking on the Date Input invokes a calendar widget that is used to input a properly formatted date into the field. As a hint, the fields are always prepopulated with that days date.

Home Country & People Input Field

The Home Country Input Field auto-populates a dropdown select menu with matching country names as the user types in the field. The People Input does not auto-fill.

Deselect All

Multiple countries may be selected and the list stacks up below the input field. They can be deleted from the selection list individually or all at once. If a country is already in the list, it does not invoke the dropdown select menu.

Generic text inputs are always boxes without rounded corners

Used only where only one filter value can be selected.

In items that have Search within Field input fields, entering text into the search input field dynamically filters the results content to match the text input. The space is set to accommodate 10 results before needing to scroll.

Search Overlay Modals

The Search Input Field block can be filtered by Location Name, Traveller Name, Traveller by PNR, Flight Name, Rail Name, Hotel Name or all categories.

The Search can be an individual category or all categories and be limited to a date range.

Hitting the return key initiates the search and shows results.

Main Search Input Field

The Search Input invokes the Search Date Widget after clicking in search box or the category select menu. Being a search input field, it is differentiated from select menus and widgets by having radiused corners. Hitting return starts a query that is answered in the Results block the fills in under the Date Widget.

If there are more than 10 results, a Search input should appear to aid in navigating the results.

If an "All of the Above" search is done, only categories with results show and each category, with a header, are displayed in the same order as the Search select menu.

Clicking the Close icon deletes the results and the default content returns.

Search Result Roll-over

Clicking on a Search Result (above) causes a latched state that persists until another search item is selected.

It also invokes a secondary modal overlay that contains all of the search results for that item (below).

The results header has a search field, a tool for texting travellers and an export button that saves the selected records to an Excel file.

2nd Tier Search Result Roll-over

Clicking on a Secondary Search Result (above) causes a the expanded information for that item to appear in a floating, modal overlay (below).

Search Input with Variable Search Filter PanelThe Search Input invokes the Search Date, Home Country and Additional Filters widget after typing in search box or the category select menu. When the search category is selected, the appropriate search filters populate the space (see page 6).

The Search Filters panel slides in & obsures the Main Information Panel until the search is cancelled (clicking on in the search input field or the close button in the main search window).

Map ControlsHovering the Risk Display tab shows its dropdown menu. The check box turns the risk by country display on and off. The Traveller Locations Only turns on the risk display only in countries with travellers present.
