Patuloy ang pagbabago ng mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng mga tao sa pag-usad ng panahon, gayundin ang pamama-raan ng RPI na matugunan ang mga ito. Raquel Pawnshop, Inc. launches its new TV Commercial Since media is considered a

powerful tool of communication and in-fluence, Raquel Pawnshop, Inc. thru its Marketing Team collaborated to create a concept for the new TV Commercial.

To make this promotional activi-ty possible, RPI teamed up with ABS-CBN Southern Tagalog Satellite Net-work. Using the company’s tagline “Palagay ang Loob Ko”, the commercial aims to highlight the company’s out-standing products and services in a way that it becomes more enticing.

The TV Commercial was aired last May 8, 2017 during the “Ang Probinsyano” timeslot. Aside from its regular airing, it was also posted on RPI Facebook Fan Page garnering positive reactions and feedback from the netizens.

Raquel Pawnshop Inc. joined Manuel S. Enverga University in the celebration of its Grand Alumni Homecoming last May 20, 2017.

Booth setup was provided to help in promoting RPI and to entice potential customers in availing its products and services being offered, specifically Jewelry and Gadget Pawning. RPI participates in Brigada Eskwela 2017 As part of the company’s way of giving back and reaching out to communities, RPI has actively

participated in initiated programs which influence its beneficiaries to be more determined in reaching their goals and become more positive in life. Last May 15 and 19, 2017, the company donated cleaning and paint materials to Reymar Com-pound Elementary School from Brgy. Gulang-Gulang, Lucena City and one (1) wall fan to Bukal Elemen-tary School from Tayabas, Quezon repectively. Both of these activities were part of their schools’ Brigada Eskwela. This is just one of those many programs RPI has been initiating since the very beginning. Its main goal is to be able to build hope and share positivity and inspiration to people in different communities.

South Luzon Area Business Conference

Raquel Pawnshop Inc. participated in the 2nd day of the 26th South Luzon Area Business Conference (SOLABC) which was held last May 12-13, 2017 at Queen Mar-garette Hotel Lucena with the theme “Shifting Gears Towards Faster Growth.” It was attended by Mr. Leandro N. De Mesa II from Compliance Unit and Ms. Maria Luisa M. Adoreno from Office of the President. This gathering was held in order to assess the economic and social opportunities com-ing from growing business communities from around the country.

During the conference, speakers were able to discuss the importance of both public and private sectors in the develop-ment of the business community towards faster growth of business all over the coun-try. The four-part plenary session focused on the following topics: Catalyzing Local Economies thru Transportation Infra-structure, Emerging Opportunities in Public Sector – Private Sector Partner-ship, Nurturing the New Breed Entrepre-neurs and Growing South Luzon’s Agri-culture Sector.

The one (1) day assembly was very informative that organizers were able to invite college students who aim of becoming entrepreneurs themselves.

Pasayahan sa Lucena 2017 Grand Parade with Ate Raquel and friends

This year's festival theme was “Tara na sa Bagong Lucena, Pasayahan Tatlong Dekada na”.

Amidst the scorching heat of the sun, Ate Raquel together with the winners of Mr. and Ms. Raquel 2016 and other RPI Employees greeted both waiting residents and tourists with warm smiles and freebies during the Pasayahan sa Lucena 2017 Grand Parade last May 28, 2017.

Aside from Raquel Pawnshop, Inc., other in-stitutions and organizations were also present during the event. Participating organizations showcased their creative side thru intricately designed floats exhibiting local products like Chami and Tinapa which were the highlighted Lucena products of the year.

Raquel Pawnshop, Inc. employees together with their families had fun and enjoyed the beautiful place of La Vista Pansol at Calamba, Laguna last April 9, 2017. Participants were able to join the Annual Company Ouitng with the theme: “Isang Saya, Isang Tagpo, Isang Pamilya”. The said event was the very first family day in RPI. Everybody had a good time. As what they say, “Together is a wonderful place to be”.

All participants gathered, registered their names and met up with fellow employees and their families. The committee members gave them a bracelet with the theme engraved on it. The program proper commenced and was facilitated by the Masters of Ceremony, Ms. Carmie Shiella O. Bueno from Acquired Properties Department (APD) and Mr. Clark Steven B. Maas from Accounting Department. The doxology was led by Ms. Lorel Anthonete B. Lustica from Human Resource Department (HRD) together with Ms. Shiela Mhay C. Esperanza from Marketing Department and Mr. John Hannibal M. Camaligan from Acquired Properties Department (APD).

The program continued as Mr. Ronaldo L. Raquel-VP for Operations delivered his Opening Message. Righ after the remarks, Ms. Cheyene D. Lopez from Human Resource Department (HRD) introduced the guest speaker for the day. The subject matter was all about Reproductive Health and Parenthood. The man of the hour was Mr. Fernando E. Cabangon, OIC from Population Commission.

Morning snacks came right after which was enjoyed by everyone. The day was just getting started for the participants as the program proceeded with fun and exciting games. This portion was facilitated by Mr. John Hannibal M. Camaligan from Acquired Properties Department (APD) and Ms. Maria Luisa M. Adoreno from Office of the President (OTP). Recognition of the Top 3 Branches with Most Volume of Bayad Center Transactions for 2016 came next. Branches recognized were Mauban Branch, Pagbilao Branch and Sariaya Branch 2. The program continued with the Closing Remarks delivered by Ms. Raquelita R. Rafa, RPI’s President and CEO.

Before enjoying the feast for lunch, the Committee Chairman, Ms. Jane Kathlyn A. Cabriga from Human Resource Department (HRD) led the prayer. After lunch, all participants were given the whole afternoon to enjoy the beautiful place of La Vista Pansol in Calamba, Laguna.

How to Ace a Job Interview Everyone has experienced being in a job interview. It gives employ-

ers the chance to meet and get to know an individual who is applying for a certain job position.

This experience may be nerve-racking to most that’s why it is one of the most challenging components of job application.

To help you put your best foot forward during this process, below are some pointers that you can consider to help you ace a job interview:

Know the essence of the job you’re applying for. Get to know the job intimately that you're applying for. Don't just read the job description--study it and picture yourself performing every task required of you. In an interview, frame your responses so that you reveal your significant knowledge about the job which will give you a massive advantage.

Know the company. No matter how prepared you are to talk about your-self, not knowing the essentials of the company conveys a lack of prepa-ration and interest. You can't show an interviewer how you'll fit in the company until you know the company.

Prepare a list of follow-up questions. Prepare a list of follow-up ques-tions and outline key points you will touch on during interview. For exam-ple, if you say your biggest strength is time management, you need to be ready for the interviewer to ask something like, "What does this strength look like in action?" This preparation will make your responses more pointed, avoid awkward silences and uncertainty. It will also build your confidence prior to the interview.

Practice, practice, practice. Preparing unique and position-specific re-sponses will give you the competitive edge over everyone else. You don't need to memorize answers, but instead know certain points of reference about yourself that you can apply to different questions.

Relax. Being yourself is essential to the selection process, and interview-ers will feel it if you're too nervous. Showing fear or anxiety appears to be weak compared to a relaxed smile and genuine confidence. Numerous studies show that smiling will not only increase your happiness and confi-dence, but will also put the people you're interacting with at ease.

Stay positive. It may seem obvious that maintaining positivity is essen-tial in an interview, but it can be very difficult to do when discussing some topics. It's tough to be positive when describing difficult bosses or coworkers from your past, or explaining why you were fired from your previous job, but that's exactly what employers want to see in you. Show them that you can maintain a positive attitude about a challenging envi-ronment, and they'll see the resilient and flexible individual they're look-ing for.

Be honest. Good interviewers have a way of getting to the crux of who you are. They may have an innate sense for reading people, or they might just be really good at asking the right questions. Regardless, it's essential to approach your interview with honesty.

In addition, we also have to work hard by beginning with acknowledg-ing our skills, abilities, and other characteristics including our personality, values, goals, and purpose.
