Cancelling, postponing,changing or cutting short the insured journey

• We refund customers if their journey needs to be cancelled or cut short due to- sudden illness - death - loss or theft of travel documents- unforeseen strikes, riots or civil unrest- traumatic event before departure date

• We refund the flight penalties incurred if the customer’s trip is postponed before the start date

• We refund extra accommodation costs if the customer needs to postpone the return flight• Ticket change fee – we refund penalties that the customer has to pay when tickets are changed

due to:- sudden illness- death- loss or theft of travel documents- unforeseen strikes, riots or civil unrest- traumatic event before departure date

• Schedule change by public transport carrier – we refund the customer when the public transport carrier (e.g. airline) changes scheduled departure times and the customer incurs additional costs for accommodation. We also refund the customer should days be lost at their destination due to a schedule change

• We include cover should the customer want to cancel, change or cut the trip short due to a terrorist attack within 14 days of their departure in a city they intended to visit

Baggage

• Theft, loss or damage of baggage is covered for:- Accidental loss, theft or damage of baggage, contact lenses and glasses, computers and similar electronic equipment and cell phones- Theft of money, travel documents, cheques and bank cards

Travel delay,missedconnection and missed event

• We refund reasonable and essential expenses a customer incurs for hotel accommodation, transport, restaurant meals and refreshments when travel is delayed (and the airline does not provide these) due to:

- loss or theft of travel documents- breakdown or accident of the customer’s car used to get to the airport- Strike by airline employees- Poor weather conditions which result in public transport carrier not being able to depart- Technical breakdown of public transport carrier

• Missed connection – we pay for the extra cost of economy transport for the customer to continue his/her itinerary if the connecting scheduled transport is missed as a result of the delay of incoming transport

• Lounge access – we refund customers’ expenses incurred for lounge access due to travel delay or missed connection

Rejection or delay of visa application

• We refund the non-refundable airfare and taxes if the customer’s visa is rejected• We refund flight and accommodation penalties due if the journey needs to be postponed due

to a delay in the processing of the customer’s visa
