HOW TO GET TO BRNO
BY AIRThere are four ways to get to Brno by plane.
Brno airport(www.airport-brno.cz). RyanAir (www.ryanair.com) is
operating direct and cheap flights between Brnoand Stansted
(London). Cirrus Airlines (www.cirrus-airlines.de) operate flights
between Brno and Munich. CzechAirlines operate (twice a day)
flights Praha-Brno (more details on www.csa.cz).
Vienna airport(www.viennaairport.com) - international airport in
Austria. Vienna airport is about 2 hours drive fromBrno.
Student Agency (www.studentagency.cz) operate direct bus
connection from Vienna (city, airport) to Brno.There are four
connections each day (Vienna airport->Brno 8:05 a.m., 11:05
a.m., 6:05 p.m., 8:30 p.m.,Brno->Vienna airport 3:05 a.m., 6:00
a.m., 1:15 p.m., 15:15 p.m.).Transport by bus from Vienna airport
to Brno takes about 2,5 hours. Price of transport: 150 - 300 CZK(5
10).
Alternatively, there is a fast transport link (S-Bahn) from the
airport to the centre of Vienna calling at the railway station
thatserves Brno. Czech Railways perate quick IC, EC connections
between Vienna-Brno-Prague.
Prague airport (www.csa.cz) - international airport in the Czech
Republic is about 2 hours drive from Brno. There isa good motorway
connection. Czech Airlines operate (twice a day) flights
Praha-Brno.
Student Agency operates direct bus connection from Prague (city,
airport) to Brno. There are more thanten connections in both
directions each day.Transport by bus from Prague airport takes 3,5
hours. Price of transport: about 150 CZK (6 EUR).
Bratislava airport (www.letiskobratislava.sk) - international
airport in Slovakia. This is a smaller airport but somelow-cost
airlines use it. There is a bus line (no. 61) from the airport to
the central train station that serves Brno (fromthe airport to the
bus station you should use bus lines 61+201).
Student Agency operates bus connection from Bratislava to
Brno.There are there bus connections each day (Bratislava bus
station->Brno 4:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 19:15p.m.,
Brno->Bratislava bus station 8:50 a.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30
p.m.).Transport by bus takes 2 hours. Price of transport: 140 170
CZK (5 6).
Alternatively, there is very good train (EC,IC) connection
between Vienna-Brno.
BY RAIL
Brno is one of the most important Central European rail
junctions, as it is situated on the international
Balkan-Budapest-Prague-Berlin-Scandinavia rail route. Euro City
trains on the Vienna-Prague route have stopped at Brno since1991,
and the City of Brno is taking an active part in the VRT, a project
for the creation of a European network of high-

BY ROAD
Brno is situated at the intersection of the D1 (Prague - Brno)
and D2 (Brno - Bratislava) motorways. Both thesemotorways form part
of the trans-European highways East-West (France - Ukraine: E50)
and North-South (Scandinavia- the Balkans: E55, E65).Bus company -

HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL VORON (HOTEL HOLIDAY INN)
The hotel is situated in the close vicinity of the area and
premises of Veletrhy Brno, a.s. Follow theindicators to "Hotel
Voron" or "BVV" (Veletrhy) from all main directions. from Prague
(Capital of Czech Rep.) - D1 exit 190, 5 minutes through motorway
tunnel from Vienna (Austria) - E4 from Bratislava (Slovak Rep.) -
D2 exit 194 AB
By public transport from Airport Tuany (Brno) to Main Railway
station:
Take bus line N 76 (direction Hlavn ndra) from the stop Letit
Tuany (airport Tuany)to the stop Hlavn ndra (10th stop).
By public transport from Bus Station at Hotel Grand (lines of
STUDENT AGENCY) and fromMain Railway Station:
Take tram line N 1 (direction Bystrc) from the stop Main railway
station (Hlavn ndra) to thestop Mendlovo nmst/square (4th stop).
The hotel is in walking distance from the square. Youcan use bus
lines N 84, x35, x37 or 52 from Mendlovo nmst to the stop
Kkovskho(1st stop).
By public transport from Main Bus Station (Zvonaka):
Take tram line N 12 (direction ervinkova) from the stop Main bus
station (Zvonaka) to thestop Main railway station (Hlavn ndra) (2nd
stop) and change to tram line N 1 (direction Bystrc) to the
Mendlovo nmst/square (4th stop). The hotel is in walking
distancefrom the square. You can use bus lines N 84, x35, x37 or 52
from Mendlovo nmst to the stopKkovskho (1st stop).
Tickets for Brno City Transport:
All tickets for Brno City Transport can be used for both tram,
bus and trolleybus. Tickets areavailable in kiosks and in automatic
ticket machine.
A transfer ticket allows you to change all tram, bus and
trolleybus lines in Brno as you like.However, the validation of
these tickets is 40 minutes only, but it gives you enough time for
gettingto the hotel. The price of transfer tickets is CZK 13.
A non-transfer ticket is for short distance (without change).
The validation of these tickets is 10minutes only. The price is CZK
8.
