Transportation is an important part of everyday life and it’s a topic our kindergarteners are
interested in. We at BIS had Modes of transport theme in the month of February, where our
intelligent tiny tots learnt about different means of transport and their importance. Transport craft
activity on 4th February, 2018 helped them to learn about transport by doing hands on
activities. They made eye-captivating rockets, buses, trains and ships. The beautiful crafts made by
our creative tiny tots were displayed in the corridors.

unwrapped the floating talent of kids in class. It was an
enthusiastic participation where in students confidently
narrated the story. This activity helped the students to

Where are you going, flying so high!
We challenged our tiny tots to sort different means of
transport on 15th February, 2018. They learnt about mode
of transport and how to categorize them as land, water
and air in a fun way. They were given cut-outs of
transport and were asked to colour and paste in the right
category. This activity helped them enhance their critical
thinking skills in a play way method.

We at BIS want our children to be safe and secure. It is
important to teach road safety to our children at the budding
age so that safe habits become ingrained. Considering this
zebra crossing game was planned for our tiny tots on
18th February, 2018. Road with zebra crossing lines were
made and kids were asked to cross the road from zebra
crossing only. Moreover, they were also instructed how to
look both ways and obey road signs and traffic lights before
crossing.

“Safety is as simple as ABC. Always be careful.”
Road safety is one of the important topics to be percolated in
the young minds right from the beginning. It’s vitally
important to help shape the children’s understanding of the
attributes of road safety. In order to make them aware
about these traffic rules, a dummy model of the road with
all the vehicles and road signs were displayed on 19th
February, 2018 wherein students learnt and understood
about different traffic rules. They enriched their knowledge
about the traffic rules with a promise that they will follow
the traffic rules.

stories based on fables, folk and fairy tales. We always salute them for their
relentless efforts. The “Story Telling” activity was organised on 12th February,

that they gain through debate is simply
unparalleled.

Recycling is important in today’s world as we want to leave this planet for our future generations.
Recycling begins at home. “If you are not throwing away any of your old product and instead
utilizing it for something new then you are actually recycling”. To emphasize the importance of this
day, BIS organised a Recycle Drive on 28th February,2018 for the children. Through this practice,
they learnt about the whole idea of the process- reduce, reuse and recycle.
Now, it’s time to change; not just the way we do things but the way we think for a beautiful green
world ahead.

“Education is not to reform students or amuse them or to make them expert technicians, it is to unsettle their minds, widen their horizons, inflame their intellects, teach them to think straight.” That’s the beauty of BIS education.
Every end has a new beginning, therefore BIS believes that learning never ends, rather it is an
ongoing life process. So, we are at the threshold of a new journey, ending up with the academic
session-2017-18.
BIS family wishes the students all the very best for the upcoming exam and for the adventures that
await you in the months and years to come.
