2. I arrived at Stansted airport andwent to the check-in desk. Theground attendant gave me theboarding pass and I went throughsecurity, where my hand luggagewas checked. I waited in thedeparture lounge until they calledmy flight. Then, I queued at theboarding gate and finally got onthe plane. I was sitting next to theaisle. The plane took off on timeand I started to relax. At last, I wason my way home! 3. I went to the ticket office at Victoria busstation and bought a return ticketfrom London to Manchester. I had towait at stop12 for the bus, when itarrived I showed my ticket to thedriver and got on. The bus was verycomfortable with a video and airconditioning. The only problem wasthe traffic on the motorway. Westopped once to pick up morepassengers in St Albans. It took us 6hours to get to Manchester BusStation, when I got off the bus I wasvery tired! 4. I went to the ticket office atthe station and bought acheap-day return ticket toLondon. I waited on platform 2until the train arrived. I got aseat next to the window. It wasrush-hour so many passengersgot on at the other stationsand they had to stand up forthe journey. We finally arrivedat London Liverpool StreetStation and I got off and wentthrough the barrier. I was readyfor a great day in London. 5. I decided to take the car to the towncentre to do some shopping. I got inand started the engine. I didnt havemuch petrol, so I stopped at a petrolstation to fill up. Near the town centre Ihad to wait in a traffic jam at a junctionbecause the traffic lights werentworking. Finally I got to the town centreand went to the multi-storey car park. Iparked the car and got out. I needed acup of coffee after all the driving andwaiting!! 6. It was a lovely day, so I decided to go for a bike ride in the countryside. I got my bicycle out the garage but saw that one of my tyres was flat, so I had to pump it up. I put on my helmet and got on my bike and started pedalling along the cycle lane into the country. There are a lot of hills where I live and it was hard work riding up them but very nice going downhill. I stopped for a cup of tea at a nice caf beforecycling home. 7. I wanted to explore London on foot. Iopened my street map and decidedwhere I wanted to go. I crossed thestreet from my hotel and walkedtowards Traflagar Square. There was alot of traffic, so I had to wait at apedestrian crossing to cross theroads. I walked around the TrafalgarSquare . There were a lot of peoplewalking on the pavement so I decidedto continue my walk in St JamesPark. It was lovely strolling throughthe park in the middle of London. Istopped in the park to give my feet arest and ate my sandwiches. Then Iwalked back to my hotel
