Welcome to the Glendon Translation Research Summer School 2015! The Glendon Translation Research Summer School is a biannual interdisciplinary forum for researchers working on projects around a specific theme. For this inaugural translation research summer school researchers will work on the conceptual intersections of translation, language, and place. The Glendon Translation Research Summer School will be one week of intensive activities, which will include daily group meetings with Chair Professor Sherry Simon, as well as plenaries, roundtables and other fora, as well as training opportunities for translation students and scholars. The Translation Research Summer School is sponsored by Glendon College; it is organized by the Centre for Research on Language Contact, CRLCC, and it is part of the activities of the Research Group on Translation and Transcultural Contact, RGTTC. This kit is designed to help you during your staying in Toronto. If you require further information please consult the Glendon Translation Research Summer School website or contact the Organizing Committee at [email protected]. We are looking forward to welcoming you in person. Best regards, The Organizing Committee
