Potential CandidatesMust be eligible to teach English, Social Science, Math or

Science. Visit www.fldoe.org/edcert for more information.

Must be a recent college graduate (within three years) or mid-career changing professional with a non-education Bachelor’s degree.

Will assist job seekers with completing an application, résumé writing, screening, and preparing for an interview.

Our PartnerThe New Teacher Center

The New Teacher Center is dedicated to improving student learning by accelerating the effectiveness of new teachers.

A New Teacher Center trained mentor will provide ongoing school-site support to the

I-TEACH participant.

Components of the I-TEACH Program

Completing the Alternative Certification Program. www.palmbeachschools.org/staffdev/

Alternative Certification.asp Passing the General Knowledge, Subject Area, and

Professional Education Tests within required time frames.

Completing the I-TEACH Program within 18 months.

Committing to teach a high-need subject in a high-need secondary school for a minimum of four years.

Components ContinuedAttending required professional

development activities.Receiving a $1500 signing bonus with a

commitment to a high-need secondary school for a minimum of 4 years.

Receiving a $500 bonus upon completion of all I-TEACH Program requirements within 18 months and upon receipt of the professional teaching certificate.

Application Process*

Be in your first year of teaching a high-need subject area in a School District of Palm Beach County secondary Title I school.

Complete the I-TEACH Program application.Submit a résumé.

*Program selection is competitive.

Application Process ContinuedTwo page essay on why

you wanted to become a teacher.

Letter of recommendation.

Completion of a screening questionnaire.

Interview by the I-TEACH Committee.

Candidates will be notified of acceptance.
