To support businesses growth, SEGRO will deliver some
of the most highly sustainable industrial space in East
London. All SEGRO developments in London meet the
London Plan’s sustainable design and construction methods
as a minimum. Through the construction of the East Plus
portfolio, we will strive to exceed these requirements with
the aspiration of moving towards delivering carbon neutral
industrial buildings.
We were the first industrial developer to produce a BREEAM
‘Outstanding’ building in London. We also have numerous
other buildings achieving ‘Excellent’ status.
In line with the ‘SEGRO 2020’ sustainability strategy, each
development site will strive to improve the energy efficiency
beyond the industry norm.
A growing population, coupled with the rise in e-commerce

We will implement a proactive engagement programme
to build a strong and effective relationship with key local
stakeholders. These stakeholders will play a vital role in
working with us to deliver our skills and employment plan
to ensure that we maximise the benefits for the community
and local economy.
The regeneration of East Plus provides an ideal opportunity
to transform the lives of local people through increasing

and investment and tackling economic disadvantage.
The skills and employment strategy will support the
Mayor’s London Riverside and London Plan objectives by:
