I first met Leslie so I will start with her. From the minute I met that sweet one I knew I had a new esthetician and friend. She was so real with me when it came to my skin (you know I’m a sun Goddess) about telling me how to take better care of it yet without preaching. I’m on her entire line of suggestions and love it. What a wonderful gal she is. She knows I’m much happier when I come to see her for a facial instead of a wax....I mean seriously, she doesn’t even need to be looking at

all that stuff there....poor girl!!!!

And about sweet Holly....I mean what do you say about that sweet little one! Pretty as a picture and even prettier on the inside. I have loved getting to know her!

She was not at all offended (or maybe she’s a great actress-ha) when I came to her with the formula from my hair dresser in FL

and she did just what I loved! I know the poor thing had to be a nervous wreck as she knew I had been going to FL every other month to get my hair done and was

now in a bind. She did great and will be my new VA girl!!! Yea me and yea for my husbands credit card saving on all those flights to

FL. I look so forward to coming to my appt with Holly. I’m a mom of two as well and its so fun talking kid stuff.

Angela is not only the most talented and knowledable stylist I’ve ever had, but she’s also a great friend. She is the only stylist I ever trusted to dye my traditional blonde locks to an auburn brown or let her cut 10-inches of my hair for donation. My face was in a complete mess when I came to her and those Baby Soft Hands, I had splotches, discolorati on, dryness, etc. But with her conti nued guidance, pati ence, and facial therapy, I no longer have to wear heavy foundati on. I told her last week that I noti ced I had a couple of blemishes before my Friday appointment and I was trying so hard to get rid of them because I didn’t want her to see my face breaking out again. Nicole’s hands should be patented! I have been to Nicole twice so far and plan to continue coming to her whenever I get a massage.

I have a tendency to get claustrophobic in small, enclosed spaces. During my last visit I started to feel the room closing in. Nicole was so patient with me and honored my request to talk during the massage. Talking gets my mind off of the claustrophobic feeling and helps me relax. And, our conversation was extremely interesting ... not just small talk!

For me, Nicole applies the right amount of pressure and soft-touch and I have felt rejuvenated and relaxed after seeing her. My back and neck are aching to see her again!

My sister, Donna Lane gives me a gift certificate every Christmas for the Peace package. It is the highlight of my Christmas. It’s not just the services that are wonderful, but your staff are very caring people. One, in particular who has ministered to me in her words of encouragement,( as well as her abilities as a massage therapist), is Nicole Overton.We have had some wonderful conversations and I always leave uplifted (and relaxed). This last visit, she felt led to give me a necklace that she had received at a ladies conference. She said the necklace symbolized “New Beginnings” and she felt that the Lord was going to do a new work in my life. As you know, I’m a big fan of Tranquility. The atmosphere is consistently positive and everyone is willing to do whatever possible to take care of people, whether adding an unscheduled service for a regular client or taking a first-time walk-in client who needed an up-do for a wedding in which she was to be a bridesmaid in a few hours.

I’m sure the staff takes those situations in stride on a routine basis, but it’s the consistently positive attitude in which they do it that’s impressive.

The ladies on your team are amazing. From the moment I walk in, the ladies at the front desk are always personable and gracious. They are very efficient in taking care of business but without making clients feel rushed. It really sets the tone for the experience there.

And then there’s Tiffany - her enthusiasm about what she’s doing is delightful, and she’s so interesting to visit with during shampoo time. She’s always so sweet about making sure everything is comfortable.

As my stylist, you have been blessing. No matter what might be going on in my personal life, when I sit in your chair, I feel that I can set those things aside for that time and enjoy sharing a conversation with you. I can’t tell you how much I look forward to coming to Tranquility! When walking through the door, I automatically feel like I’m entering a different world. I believe that the people who live and work in an environment create an energy and a mood. I can feel and sense itimmediately. The energy is Tranquility is always calm and soothing. From the open arms of the girls at the front desk, to Erin, to the girls who assist Erin and the other stylists...everyone takes a moment to smile and say something kind. Your holistic approach to beauty touches on every sense to reach the soul!

Erin is so incredible.....not only talented, but patient and warm. So many of my friends have complimented me on my appearance lately....Erin has taken the time to help me improve my appearance, which in turn has helped my outlook enormously! I’ve had a challenging series of life transitions over the past 5 yrs which have done a number on me! I don’t think she realizes what a difference she’s made to me. The little escape every 4 weeks is a highlight of my month! I haven’t hesitated a second to recommend her to my friends.

I’ve been to several of the stylists at Tranquility...changing because of circumstances, not because of talent or personality....Monica is so sweet and talented (I moved to April when Monica had her first baby). April is nothing less than inspirational (moved to Krystal when April left). Krystal simply sparkles and is also talented! (changed when she moved toManassas) and now Erin. Each has their own gifts and personality.

I love that Erin so calm and kind. Oh----and the fact that my hair looks fabulous is the cherry on top (or should I say the pearl on top of the cupcake?)

If it wasn’t for Angela, I wouldn’t have found Life Church.

I first came to her a few weeks before my wedding and she did such an incredible job on my cut and color, I was sold. But so much greater thanmy cut and color, was our connection on the heart of God.

I’ve been meaning to send Christine a little note to let her know how thankful I am that she took me in last minute this past Thursday. She did an amazing job, as usual.

I had an office Christmas party on Saturday, but when I called to schedule an appointment with Christine she was booked until the Tuesday after the party. Marisa, Christine and I have been clients there since 1998.. and have always felt “at home" during each visit. I don’t even like to say “clients" because you ALL make us feel like more than that. Hi Gloria and Wayne,

I have been coming to Tranquility for probably 8 years. During my first visit I came in and asked for bangs...I needed a change. ...and was walked back immediately to meet Monica who was so nice and calming, and a pleasure to sit and chat with. Since then I have seen many stylists to include Holly, Stacy, Christine, Jenna, Erin, and most recently Krystal (and then just yesterday Angela, since Krystal went home ill). Everyone of these ladies has done a wonderful job, always listening to me and accommo-dating any request, while also offering helpful suggestions. I always leave happy and relaxed, relaxed being no small feat as a mom of 3 children 10 and under. :)

I will also mention the massages and facials I have received through the years...it’s sometimes hard to go home to the real world after those wonderful experiences! I have come home several times telling my husband I would love to work in a place like Tranquility, as I really admire the work atmosphere, the camaraderie, and the overall sense of serenity that the team has. I feel that is so important in a place of work and naturally leads to increased productivity and success.

I am happy to provide a write up about how I feel about your place.

First of all it’s always a pleasure to come in and I always feel welcome there, like I matt er. I’ve been to places in the past that treat me just like a number...but with Tranquility that’s not the case.

Second the personalized care I get is wonderful. I have very curly hair and growing up I had some awful hair cuts, so I became very picky about who touched my hair. I have been with Monica about 9 years now and am thrilled with her care. I’ve also had you work on my hair and it’s such a great feeling to know I have at least two folks I can count on to make me look my best.

I’ve had ti mes where I wasn’t feeling the best and aft er coming in for hair or a mas-sage service I walk out feeling pampered and ready to face the world again.

My only regret is that I can’t come in more oft en for services from your incredible team. It’s always such fun!!

Maybe this next year I will get a job and can come in to play more!!

I started seeing Rachel for color only and maybe an occasional trim. As I became more daring (and confident) I added some subtle highlights. Then more bold high-lights. Then a more up-to-date hair style. I feel great! I look in the mirror and I feel younger and more attractive! My dull hair color and out of date hair style made me feel very plain. Guess I looked that way for sure! I’m very grateful to Rachel for her suggestions. She knows me and suggests things that she knows I won’t regret try-ing.

I had my 40th High School Reunion last summer and felt very confident going. I had long, straight, dark hair in high school and when an “almost blonde" with a styl-ish curly,bob haircut showed up, most people didn’t recognize me!

First, Beth who I met while she was in training at your design school. I was hesitant to go to a “trainee” to get my hair cut, but she was very detailed and caring. She gave me the best cut and I followed her to the salon. She is a very special person and I look forward to seeing her whenever I come to the salon.

Second, Rosie who probably doesn’t even remember chatting with me (5+ yrs. ago) about possibly working at your salon when I retired. She was so happy and encouraging about the prospect of me working there. She is still a joy to see when I come in.

And last, but not least Nicole. I love the fact that she gives the BEST massage, but also that she is quiet when you need quiet and yet so personable and a joy to talk with when you want to talk. I most remember when the earthquake happened and I had my massage just an hour after that. Why I Love Tranquility,

Christi ne Curti s is my stylist, she really will listen to what I want in a hair style, and makes it work every ti me. The color is perfecti on and the cut is truly cre-ated out of several things I liked, and made it into thecut I love. All of the people at the shop make you feel welcome and it really is a place to have a relaxing ti me, I call it a ME moment.

I have also been to the spa and any one that has had the experience word can not even explain the fantasti c way you feel. Every one should have this treatment even if it is only once in your life. You’ll wish you couldaff ord it everyday I do.

My stylist Angela is sooo wonderful! No matt er what could’ve happened before I see her she helps me smile and I feel bett er aft er my visit. She’s very helpful with helping pick new styles that look great, and she understands when I walk in looking like I’ve been up all night with my 1 year old. I don’t know what I would do without a wonderful stylist/person!

With a full head of a little too much hair, it has always been difficult for me to find a good stylist. With Angela, I have found not only an excellent stylist who handles my hair with ease, but a sweet friend who blesses me everytime I come in. Whatever troubles I had when I walked through the door, she helps me wash them out of my hair and down the drain. I leave with a spring in my step and a lighter outlook on life, in addition to beautiful, manage-able hair. It is such a treat to have someone take care of me once in awhile, and I’m so grateful to have found her.

I was literally on my way to the Homestead for my neices wedding inOctober of this year. I needed my hair colored and styled and I wantedit to stay fixed the whole weekend. I made an appt with Monica for the13th, a Thursday. The wedding was Saturday. Monica blew my hair dry with the round brush like she always does. But then, in order to get itto “stay fixed” (my words!) she then took each section and put curlers inand sprayed each one. My hair looked awesome the whole weekend. All Ihad to do was take the round brush to some parts and do a little teasing. I left Tranquility headed to the Homestead for a get together that night. I truly felt like a beauty!! HA!

I feel Monica went over and above for me for the occasion. It was like she knew where I was coming from and the concern I had. She really put ef-fort into making me less stressed. I got sooooooooooo many compliments on my hair. Even on Saturday, (that being 2 and 1/2 days later!!!!).

Thank you Monica....the wedding (huge!) was great and I felt beautiful!!

I have been a client of Monica’s for approximately six months, but it seems like Monica and I have been friends for years! Even though I only see her on a monthly basis, she has taken the time to get to know *me* as a person. One doesn’t always get that type of attention from their stylist! I enjoy hearing about Monica’s boys and the Christmas card that she posted at her station allowed me to put faces with cute stories that I hear. Monica is always welcoming with her beautiful smile, but then again, I can say that of the *entire* Tranquility staff!
