CHOKING BABIES and TOTS—

Silence is NOT Golden

Choking deaths have increased

by 17% in the UK over the past 5

years.

Medical professionals have

stated this is because adults have

forgotten how to chew properly

through more “eating with just a

fork” type of food, and have

therefore not passed that skill

onto children.

The first sign of danger of

choking in young children is

silence! Always check on children

who suddenly stop making any

sounds and stop moving, sitting

staring with wide eyes. They are

probably choking and need your

help to deliver 5 back slaps

immediately.
