Understand what constitutes temporary works, the procedures to follow and appropriate checks to be completed. This course uses examples of temporary works failures, delegates’ experiences, contractual arrangements for TW duties, group exercises to develop risk awareness, and discussion to reinforce knowledge.

Understand the key safety and legal requirements to reduce the risks of working around scaffolding. This course is designed for anyone who inspects and/or controls the erection of scaffolding.

In the construction industry, NVQs are recognised as the benchmark qualification for proving occupational competence.
Every candidate is supported by our expert assessors who, as well as benchmarking candidates’ competence, work with them to develop their skills and knowledge through the assessment process. We conduct these assessments through a mixture of work place visits and online support, minimising the impact on candidates’ working time.

Trade TalksThese one hour talks, delivered by our building inspectors are designed to reflect current construction methods and highlight to trades/site operatives the most common reportable items or defects that our inspectors and claims investigators encounter on residential developments and give practical guidance on how to prevent these problems occurring.

Aimed at delegates with little or no exposure to construction drawings, this introductory course will guide you through plans, sections and architectural symbols.
