PARTICIPANTS’ FEEDBACK

“The PSM study tour organized by Empower provided a great learning experience. The presentations made

by experts from leading organizations in the fight against HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB (WHO, Global Fund,

UNAIDS, IFRC, UNDP, Global Drug Facility, etc.) were inspiring and provided a refreshing approach

reconciling PSM theory and practice. I had a lifetime opportunity to learn and network with the best.”

Roy Eusen, Procurement Associate, United Nations Development Programme (Zimbabwe)

“Empower’s training on promoting access to medicine was a comprehensive training package enabling

the staff responsible for PSM of medicines and medical equipment by building capacity in procurement

and access to medicines. It was an excellent training and the choice of training venue gave us the

opportunity to understand the functioning of various UN agencies based in Geneva.”

Kyaw Kan Kaung, Director, Ministry of Health (Myanmar)

“I found the course to be an eye opener. Promoting access to medicines is not a role for just an individual

but is for everyone. I have enjoyed the quality of presentation, discussion and also the exposure to various

global public health organizations.”

Rahel Belete, Senior Deputy Country Director, Clinton Health Access Initiative (Ethiopia)

“The face to face session in Geneva has demystified the role of WHO in promoting Access to medicines,

elaborated on UNAIDS advocacy role, explained Global Fund’s operations in supported countries, and

informed us how IFRC manages logistic during times of disaster. This experience has empowered me in

a big way. I would recommend this course to anyone who is involved in health products supply chain.”

Themba J. Motsa, Assistant Director CMS, Ministry of Health (Swaziland)

“This training programme was a great experience for me. I got the opportunity to learn from many experts

in WHO, UNDP and UNAIDS. This also gave me a platform to share my experiences in procurement and

supply chain with other countries and expand my knowledge of PSCM in a global perspective. “

Heng Kanha, Chief of Procurement Unit, Ministry of Health (Cambodia)
