    Accessing the Online User Guide

    1. Go the help menu in the Office Accelerator Phone Book Screen and selectOnline User Guide:

    Adding a New Contact

    Adding a new contact to the Accelerator application is done using the Accelerator New

    Contact Wizard. Using the Accelerator New Contact Wizard is the default method for

    entering data into the Accelerator application, however, the wizard can be disabled via

    the Accelerator |Preferences| menu by selecting the |Contact Wizard| option. The

    If No Matching Information is Found, you may select to:

    3. You may select the to add the contact to your personal My Phone folder and/or

    sub folders as shown below. Click the |Next| button to continue.

    4. Select any additional folders and/or categories you would like this contact

    associated with (as shown below), click the |Done| button to continue.

    5. Finally, from the Edit Screen (shown below) you may enter any remaining data

    into the appropriate fields, click the |Save| button when you are done.

    Creating a New Folder

    Accelerator provides the ability to create folders to help better organize contacts. You

    may create an unlimited number of folders in Accelerator. To create a new folder, do

    the following:

    From the menu list, select |Folders|New Folder|. Enter the location for the new

    folder, and the name of the folder you would like to create.

    2. Click the |Create Folder| button to continue. In the example below a folder called

    My New Folderwas created in the My Phone Book list.

    You can drag and drop contacts from the current search result to a folder in Accelerator.

    Just hold your left mouse button down on a contact in the current search result and drag

    the contacts to a folder. You can drag multiple contacts by placing a check in the box

    next to the contacts you would like to drag and drop. In addition you can select all

    contacts in the current search result by using the |Check All Contacts Button| located

    above the current search result tab (see screen shot below).

    Moving (Not Copying) from One Folder to AnotherUse the Shift key if you want to move the contacts from one folder to another. Withoutthe shift key you are just making a copy in the target folder.

    Turning Off a FolderClick the question mark underneath the folders tab and the deselect the folders you donot want on the screen.

    The Personal Dashboard Button bar provides quick access to a number of commonly

    used features within the Accelerator application.

    Printing a Contact

    Printing the selected contact will print the contact highlighted in the current search result

    screen. To use this function, do the following:

    1. Highlight a contact in the current search result.

    2. From the file menu select |Print Wizard|Selected Contact|. The following screen

    will appear:

    3. Select the category type from the category drop down menu (categories are

    paper types such as Day Runner, FiloFax, Day-Timer etc.).

    4. Select the paper format you would like to use for your printout

    5. Click the |NEXT| button. The following screen will appear:

    2. From the Personal Dashboard Button Bar click the |Add To Folders| button, the |

    Add to Folders| dialogue box will appear (shown below)

    3. From the |Add to Folders| dialogue box, select the folders and/or lists you would

    like to associate the contact with. Upon making your selections, click the |Save|

    button to save your changes.

    Adding to a Mailing List

    A Mailing List consists of a group of contacts that are likely to receive correspondencefrom you on a regular basis. The |Add To Mailing List| option is used to create and add

    contacts to such a mailing list as shown below:

    1. If this is the first time you have used the |Add to Mailing List| button, upon clicking

    the |Add To Mailing List| button you will be asked to designate a mailing list folder

    (shown below):

    Click |Yes| to designate a new mailing list folder.

    2. Upon designating a mailing list, click the |Save| button to save your new setting

    3. The next time you use the |Add To Mailing List| option, only those folders whichyou designated as Mailing Lists will appear.

    4. Place a check on the folder you would like to add the highlighted contact to.

    Editing Your Data Sheet

    The Data Sheet feature is used to store personal data about a given contact within the

    Accelerator application. A single contact may contain multiple data sheets created by

    individual Accelerator users, however, this information is private to each Accelerator

    user unless the contact in question is proxy to other Accelerator users on the network.

    To create a data sheet for a highlighted contact, do the following:

    1. Search the Accelerator application for a contact.

    From the Personal Dashboard button bar, select the |Edit My Data Sheet| button, the

    following screen will appear:

    3. Use the Data Sheet to add relevant information about a contact, click the |Save|

    button one you have completed the data sheet.

    4. If you are proxy to other users, and those users have added data sheet

    information to a given contact, such information will be displayed in the |AvailableUser Data Sheets| section within the |Personal Dashboard| (shown below).

    Sending Emails to a Group

    The |Send Email| button is used to send email to a selected contact or group of contacts

    in the current search result. To send email, do the following:

    1. First search for some contact. Below we have checked off 4 contacts in the

    current search result.

    2. From the Personal Dashboard Button bar, click the |Send Emails| button.

    3. From the send emails screen (shown above), select which contacts to send

    emails to. In addition, you can choose which field to insert the email addresses

    i.e. CC (Carbon Copy), or BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) etc.

    clipboard. You can easily paste this string of addresses into any drag and drop enabled

    application.

    Although not a function of the Accelerator application, you can set your default email

    client within the control panel using the |Internet Options| icon. Once opened, select the

    |Programs| tab and email drop down list where you may specify which email client

    Windows should use by default. Click the |OK| to save your changes.

    Pasting an Address to Another Application

    The |Paste Address to| button can be used to setup a copy and paste option for

    Accelerator contact data you may need to copy to other applications. To use this

    feature, do the following:

    1. Search for some contacts within Accelerator.

    2. Highlight at least one contact and click the |Paste Address To| button from the

    Personal Dashboard Button Bar, the following screen will appear:

    3. From the Paste Address to dialogue box, select the options Accelerator should

    copy from the highlighted contact and click |OK|.

    4. The selected contents of the highlighted contact will be stored in the windows

    clipboard where you may paste it to your preferred application.

    You can use the |Shift| + |Insert| key command to paste data to your cursor within a

    given application.

    Using the Smart Drop to Send a List of Addresses to aDocument or Email

    The Smart Drop panel makes it simple to copy data from your phone book to almost any

    application. Each of the icons on the Smart Drop panel can be used to copy userselected data by either a clicking or dragging action.

    First 100 Contacts of the Search Result (Smart Drop)

    Left click this Smart Drop button to copy the all user defined contact data in the current

    search result to your windows clipboard where you can paste it to another application.

    If you drag and drop and this button, only the data of the first 100 contacts will be

    copied. You can customize what data Smart Drop should copy by click the question

    mark on the Smart Drop bar and modifying the selected data settings.

    You can also drag the Smart Drop buttons to a desired application. When doing so, the

    phone book will minimize revealing applications opened in the background.

    Did you know that you can toggle through applications during a drag and drop

    operation? Try this, open a few applications and drag the smart button to your task

    bar. Hover the target over an application in the task bar and the application will move tothe front of the screen where you can release your mouse button and drop the data.

    Getting Driving Directions to a Contact

    Accelerator provides easy access to driving directions for contacts stored within

    Accelerator. To use this feature, do the following:

    Connect to the internet.

    From the |Contacts| menu, select |Driving Directions To|. The following screen

    will appear:

    Select the address where you will be driving . Click |OK| to continue

    Accelerator will utilize the Map Quest internet database to retrieve the appropriate

    driving directions to the selected contact.

    CIT Bar

    The Contact Integration Technology Button Bar

    The CIT button bar is one of the most powerful features of your Accelerator software. It

    provides the ability to send contact information to virtually any application. In addition, itenables you to capture phone and address information and easily send it to Accelerator

    parsing the data to the proper fields. The CIT button bar can also integrate directly to

    the contact information screen of another Windows application. For example, contact

    data within the Accelerator application can be sent to another Windows application

    without retyping any data.

    Searching Accelerator Using Highlighted Text (CIT)

    To use this feature, it is advisable to first login to the Accelerator application.

    This feature will search the Accelerator database on the highlighted text from any

    windows based application. The tool bar button operates in the following manner:

    Left Clicking will search the highlighted text by last name.

    Holding Down the Right or Left Mouse Button will present a drop down menu

    providing a user defined search on highlighted text.

    The following example will search the Accelerator database by the highlighted

    text in a Word document

    In the below screen shot we have highlighted some text in a Microsoft Word

    document.

    2. Next we have Right Clicked our mouse on the |Search on Highlighted Text|

    button and selected the company option.

    The Accelerator application opens and searches the database by the highlighted

    company name (Baseline Data Systems, Inc.). The results of the search will be

    displayed in the current search result screen (shown below).

    Getting Data from Accelerator Using the (CIT)

    The |Get a Contact from the Accelerator Phone Book| function is used to get data from

    the Accelerator application while working in an alternate program such as Microsoft

    Word. To use this function, do the following:

    Open a document in Microsoft Word and place your cursor anywhere in the

    page.

    2. Hold down the left or right mouse button on the |Get a Contact from the

    Accelerator Phone Book| button on the CIT button bar. The following menu

    will appear.

    3. From the drop down menu, Select Name, Address and Phones (shown above).

    The following screen will appear:

    4. As shown in the above example, search for a contact and click the |Send Data|

    button.

    5. The data from the selected contact will be copied to Word. This feature will work

    in any windows based application.

    With the CIT you can send highlighted information to an existing Accelerator contact

    or create an entirely new contact from highlighted text data. This feature is useful for

    highlighting a contact and inserting that data into your Accelerator application within an

    existing contact or by creating a new contact. To send highlighted text to Accelerator,

    do the following:

    Contact| button . The Accelerator application will first search for instances of

    duplicates, click |OK| to use the |New Contact| wizard to add the new contact

    data to Accelerator.

    From an Internet browser on any computer or PDA (Treo, Blackberry) you can get to

    your Office Accelerator Phone Book or Calendar. You also can access other peoples

    phone book and Calendar in the firm. To get to this information go to

    www.OAMobile.com select your device type and then in your user name and password:

    When you go to OAMobile you will get the choices below:

    Click below to login to Office Accelerator

    Computer Desktop/Laptop Browser Version

    Handheld Wireless (WAP) version

    After you select Computer Desktop or Handheld Wireless (WAP) version you will get the

    login below:

    Then just login as usual. Currently the data through OAMobile is read only.
