• PREREQUISITES: COMPLETE EMR
• MODULE 1: FIREFIGHTER INTRODUCTORY
• THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER (EMR) MUST DEMONSTRATE COMPETENCY IN HANDLING EMERGENCIES UTILIZING ALL BASIC LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT AND SKILLS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES IN THE DOT/FIRST RESPONDER CURRICULUM
PHASE 1
(NEW RECRUIT) WITH A FIRE OR EMS CERTIFICATION.
• 3 MONTHS TO COMPLETE EMR OR SFFMA INTRODUCTORY
• CLASS B LICENSE WITHIN 6 MONTHS
• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
• NIMS 100
• EMS PASS PROTOCOL TEST
• 16 HOURS STATION COVERAGE PER WEEK (ASSIGNABLE TO TRUCK)
• THIS PROGRAM COVERS ALL NECESSARY CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE STATE FIREMEN’S & FIRE MARSHALS’ ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS (SFFMA) UNDER MODULE 1: FIREFIGHTER INTRODUCTORY.

• ENROLLED SFFMA FF 1 COMPLETE
• NIMS 900
• 16 HOURS PER WEEK STATION COVERAGE.
• MUST BE COMPLETED IN 6 MONTHS TO CONTINUE POINTS ACCUMULATION.
• INELIGIBLE FOR POINTS AFTER 6 MONTHS

• FIREFIGHTER II
• SIX MONTHS TO COMPLETE
• MUST BE COMPLETED IN 6 MONTHS TO CONTINUE POINTS ACCUMULATION.
