Ultrasonic technology is considered

the traditional non contact method

of level measurement in the water

and wastewater industries treatment. The non contact measurement requires low maintenance,

hence offering a long lasting and cost effective solution.

The water plants usually provide a very convenient environment for ultrasonic level measurement.

Wastewater treatments present a more difficult measurement

environment, with vapors and gases, foam and steam that result in water condensation.

Ultrasonic level measurement technology is a common method of measuring flow through an open channel. The sensor measures the height or head of the liquid as it passes over an obstruction (a flume or weir) in the channel.
