Special Hazards: Protection Course for Photographers and TV-Crews

Duration: 16 hours

Description: The objective of the training is to learn the basic self protection measures to work safely in a potentially contaminated and therefore hazardous area.

After this course the participants will be familiar on how to use his/her IPE (Individual Protective Equipment) and have the confidence in its protection capability. Participants will be aware of the risks of contamination with- and the spreading of - CBRN hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and will be able to recognize self contamination. They will also be familiar with the protection of the equipment in use, and will know how to perform the required decontamination. With this training participants will gain the basic knowledge of CBRN HAZMAT. The practical training (8 hours) will be done with harmless and inert chemical, biological and radioactive simulants.
