Course curriculum are developed by our subject matter expert, who holds active inspector’s certifications and a minimum of 15 years’ practical experience in the application of inspection techniques.
Intertek & CKRC API course programOur API exam preparation courses are designed for any inspector dealing with Pressure Vessels, Piping and Above Ground Storage Tanks who wish to write their API 510, 570 and 653 examinations, for the inspector who cannot take time off work, is working a shut-down or on rotation.
Our facilitators are not only experienced, but also active in the industry. Therefore our course material is regularly updated and in line with new information.
The courses contain a series of modules, assignments, announcements & quizzes that are released as per the course schedule. Our recommended daily participation by each student is +/- 1.5 hours a day. These hours are based on the coursework, reading assignments and on the average reading speed of an adult. Over the past 10 years, we have had a very high pass-rate for participating students.

API 510 Pressure Vessel InspectorsAs per the American Petroleum Institute, ‘Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels.
Minimum qualifications specified in API 510, a combination of education and experience related to pressure vessels must have been acquired within the last 10 years while employed by, or under contract with an authorised inspection agency. API 510 certification needs to be renewed after 3 years, with an online quiz after 6 years.
API 570 Piping InspectorsAs per the American Petroleum Institute, ‘Certified API 570 Piping Inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of in-service metallic piping systems.
Minimum qualifications specified in API 570, a combination of education and experience related to in-service metallic piping systems, must have been acquired within the last 10 years while employed by, or under contract with an authorised inspection agency. API 570 certification needs to be renewed after 3 years, with an online quiz after 6 years.
API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank InspectorAs per the American Petroleum Institute, ‘Certified API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector must have a broad knowledge base relating to tank inspection and repair of aboveground storage tanks.
Minimum qualifications specified in API 653, Tank Inspection, repair, alteration and reconstruction. API 653 certification needs to be renewed after 3 years, with an online quiz after 6 years.
Courses upon requestThe following are supplementary exam preparation courses that can be delivered on request:API 571, API 577 and API 580.
