This training programme provides specific instruction for inspectors preparing for the API

SIRE ICP (Independent Certification Programme) exams.

Source inspection is a broad technical subject involving a wide variety of technologies and

manufacturing capability. Worldwide, the adoption of ASME, API and EN codes in many

industries has helped to bring a sound technical base to specifications and the activities of

source inspection.

The technical competence of individuals is one of the main criteria of effective source

inspection. Inspectors need the ability to interpret and implement specification and code

requirements across a range of rotating equipment. Ongoing improvement and certification

of source inspectors is a way to achieve this. This training programme provides specific

instruction for inspectors preparing for the API SIRE examination. This API SIRE programme

is being increasingly accepted in the inspection industry as a way of demonstrating inspector

competence in commonly used codes and standards.
