was a painter when i worked there I saw him last year I think on the

loading dock can’t recall his name.but has been with the company

completed electronics trade school in 1971 from Elkins .worked at

AT&T for 32 years as central office technician, job required I go to

company schools to keep up with changing technology in work place.

learned to understand and master working on digital equipment. when

I went to work at telephone company call processing equipment was

changing from analog technology to digital .I was part of that

evolution in the downtown Dallas central offices known as the

Riverside co. I worked on special circuits that send and received data.

fiber technology was part of that training. we used digital devices that

send and received large amounts of data. I also was in charge of

maintaining the switch that processed 911 calls in north Texas area.

while at AT&T. I was trained in the use of company dumb terminals

(no hard drive.

all work was done thru access points into a main frame

computer) that accessed various data bases for the upkeep of

equipment and trunking operations between the central offices.

DON’T misunderstand the switch i worked on was a large in scope

computer it had program stores that were used to load software for the

operation of call processing complete with a central processor that

was in control of all phases of a call.it had buses for the exchange of

data from one device with another I also was responsible for all

related switching equipment that was controlled by the CPU on the

three offices .also used many types of test equipment some installed

on the main frame computers that processed calls . I used test

equipment that were part the computers test panels and repaired same

with the use of tech manuals.

I also used portable test equipment thru the day. I was

assigned and worked as dispatcher in a local area that would break

down trouble reports and help in the clearing of problems by loading

others in the co with trouble tickets and helping them clear the

problem over the phone and thru the use of documentation

.My employment at AT&T has taken me from vacuum tubes to

large scale integrated circuits and how they interact in the operation of

a circuit. because of my background.

I have built for me others 13 computers from ground up. I

installed all equipment in the personal computers I have build and and

install the operating systems. all drivers, all software, all updates, and

clear thru the use of the internet software fixes when problems in the

operation of the computer hardware or software occur.

I have built a network that shares three printers three scanner

and 32 hard drive that are by six computers in my home network. also

have setup one mouse and one keyboard that controls four computers

that use three 27 inch video monitors across my desk.

I also on a regular basics calibrate my printers and monitors. my

education in the tech field made it possible for me to built a stereo

system that has four amps one Pre amp four video sources to one High

definition television in one room an another in mcomputer room.

I create all kinds video and audio and analog set ups. and make

the changes match thru the use of adapters.so all equipment can share

common equipment all this was possible because i understand the

limits and operation of various equipment and how it can be made to

link up.

My training in the service introduced me into electronics at a

young age.it took me in train from basic electronics to complete

understanding of all forms of electronic communication video, radio,

radar.

at that time vacuum tube were the norm. then after my discharge I

enrolled at Elkins institute in Dallas on Inwood Rd were I received

training that companies would accept as a valid form of electronics

training. military training at that time was not held as any high value

in work places.

I also worked as an outside tech for united coin where I would

repair commercial laundry machines. while in training at Elkins.so i

attained more experience in the electrical field and improved my

mechanical skills.

I also have built a complete engine and hit the starter on one

time and ran smooth and perfectly.my mechanical skills are above

average.

My training has made it possible for me built and maintain

complex a home entertainment center

a home computer system that is not a gaming computer but has

functional uses thru the use of a network that uses microphones

printers scanners video capture devices that four computers can switch

into use as needed .

I can copy various types of VHS HDMI component video.

I have trained myself to use windows Xp , Vista, 7,8,10. I can

and do install operating system software and take old files off hard

drives to add to new computers that I have built or upgraded.

I have added equipment and changed equipment to improve its

performance. also made software upgrades to keep devices up to date.

and added firmware updates to devices the number of personal

computers I have fixed computers or friends and family

I am a photographer, that truly loves to do photography, because of

that i have amassed all my past training to glean info from different

technologies to make me a better photographer. that required on my

part learning about new things how digital cameras work how to use

software that i had never used before. I learned about software (adobe)

(Microsoft operating systems) all types because newer and faster

equipment requires the know how to make those changes on a device

or software to make it work.
