Train for a Career in Phlebotomy Phlebotomists are trained individuals who can draw blood from a live person. During the course of this program you will learn the basic principles of venipuncture and lab procedures. We strive to provide the technical instrucon and skill development to enable the students to become successful phlebotomists upon compleon of the program. Length of Program: 218 Hour Program Applicaon Deadline: August 2, 2019 Start Date: September 3, 2019 Tuion: $995 Books: $65 Acceptance: Students will be accepted on first come first serve basis conngent upon compleon of ALL checklist requirements. Pre-requisite: High School Diploma or GED (documentaon required) Clinical sites require proof of medical insurance If malebetween the ages of 18 and 26, I am providing documentaon that I have registered with the Selecve Service. Proof of U.S. Cizenship or lawful presence (valid drivers license, photo ID card, official birth cerficate, etc.) Other Fees: Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen, and Completed Immunizaons (approximate cost $231) Cerficaon Exam ($150) Liability Insurance ($20) Graduaon Fee ($32.93)(oponal) Financial Aid: Financial aid (pell/loery) is not available for this program, however you may check with your local Career Center. Proof of the following Completed Immunizaons are required before enrolling: Varicella (Chickenpox) – Must show proof of 2 dates or Varicella Titer Hepas B Series or Hepas Titer – Must show proof of 3 dates T.B. Skin Test and Date – Negave or Posive (within the last year) Tetanus MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) – Must show proof of 2 dates Flu Shot (within the last year) (You should be able to go to your local health department for these immunizaons.)
