Today, our family business is the county’s only remaining commercial producer of authentic Ayrshire bacon. Whether you require primal cuts of pork and bacon, manufactured, sliced, and cooked products, the Robertson’s team will deliver quality and service worthy of the Robertson’s family name. We also carry an extensive range of non-Scottish pork bacon and tinned meats to further meet the requirements of our customers.
QUALITY UNDERPINS OUR OPERATION
As a member of the QMS Assurance Scheme, we hold a ‘Farm Assured from Scotland’ badge and all our meat is SSPCA-Assured. We operate from our two custom-built processing and smoking facilities in Ardrossan and Irvine; BRC A and AA rated.
With traceability from farm through to processing and packaging, our team has full control, allowing us to maintain the high standards our reputation is founded on, and to forge longstanding partnerships with our customers.

Our fresh pork and bacon holds special status. We source our pigs exclusively from Scottish farms, where the pigs are born, reared and cared for in strict accordance with responsible farming practices. In addition, we also offer a range of UK and EU pork products to further meet the needs of our customers and their pricing structures.
The Robertson’s range encapsulates a huge variety of Scottish pork cuts and products. What’s more, we have the flexibility to honour special requests and short delivery times – that’s why butchers and chefs across the land insist on Robertson’s pork.

Involved in the company since they were young, current company directors and cousins, Iain and Humphrey, are the fourth generation to inherit the mantle as Ayrshire’s finest pork and bacon producers.
Both cousins have brought knowledge and invaluable experience from time in other industry roles; skills that allow them to uphold the tradition of putting consumer needs at the heart of our business.
Having dedicated their careers to ensuring the Robertson’s family name continues proudly in the industry as one renowned for quality and service, Iain and Humphrey are followed into the business by Gareth and Barry.
With a fifth generation on board to continue the Robertson’s legacy, a strong sense of family is still felt throughout our business by, employees, suppliers and customers alike.
