Time/activity coupons: use coupons to encourage youth to participate in all activities.

When they attend one activity, they will get one coupon. The coupons can be exchanged for some treat or service – especially such as free

music/nice Hollywood fotos/ringtones for their phones, prize can also include a chance to meet with businessman, provincial governor, bank manager, celebrity etc. or win YCC LD or ADS manuals, an attendance for ADS course... etc, the coupons can earn a phone simcard too.

Program Marathon Race

200 youth will participate in marathon race across town. The length is normally 3 to 4 km. The finish line is at the opening section of the festival.

Program Writing, Poem, Song Contest

Participants will get instruction about the contest at a booth together with a short training on media writing.

Participants will take photos at least 5 and write article about “Youth & Development”. Instruction flyer (sample) is prepared for participants too.

The deadline to submit their article & photos is by 12:00pm of the second day. A consultant will be provided at the booth to collect the article and the provide consultation.

The announcement of the 03 short-listed candidates will be posted at the booth at 3:00pm. The short listed candidates will be voted by the crowd of audiences on the stage of the 2nd night. (the training will last for 30mns )

Program Matching Grant

Participants who like to apply for YCC matching grant will be given instruction and information leaflet.

There will be a competition on each day in order to find the winner who may receive a small grant from YCC to conduct their actual project. The project will be implemented after the festival.

50% of the grant for a total of 100usd will be awarded to the winning group. The group will raise fund during the festival and the money will be kept with YCC.

Those who can join this matching grant competition unless they register to become YCC youth network, go through a course on matching grant, proposal writing and fund raising.

Program Commune Council Meeting

Participants register in groups of three to take part in this game & competition. After registration, they will attend YCC’s grassroots advocacy & lobby seminar.

After the training, they need to register to become YCC youth network before attending the CC meeting competition.

All groups of each training batch will find the issue and their recommended solution

The judging panels will score each group. Within the day, the highest scores of group receive will be the winner. The 1st & 2nd training groups will present in the morning of day 2 and the training group in day 2 will present in the afternoon of day 2. The result will be announced at 3:00pm. The 2 winning groups will be trained on debate competition at 3:30pm.

The 2 final groups will debate each other on their issue on the stage, the CC and YCC will be the judging panels. (3 trainings on day I & 1 training on day II, 5 groups/training, 1:30mns/training, 3 persons/group)

Program Public Speech Contest

Participants register before or during the event Training about public speaking will be provided by YCC Contest shortlist will be done during the two days event The final 3 contestants will speak for 5mn each at the 1st night. Vote by

audience SMS.

Program Wish board

Participants are guided to write about their wishes, and opinions. Regardless of their age, they could both draw picture or write down on a white cloth.

Program Youth Code of Conduct

Youth Code of Conduct booth introduces participants the objective and importance of Youth Code of Conduct and have them write down what should and shouldn’t do in their everyday life for 5 specific points.

The code of conduct will be written on a white cloth and place for public signatures. The copy of the youth code of conduct will be selling to all in the next day. (05 persons/group)

Program Debate Competition

There will be only 01 training a day with around 40 participants. After the training, 4 groups of 3 will be selected to be the debaters. The selected groups will do their mock training in late afternoon of the same day. The first round of debate will be done in the afternoon of the 2nd day. The two final groups will be selected from the 1st round. The 2 groups will prepare themselves for the on stage debate competition. The topic will be given right after the 1st round competition.
