Tracking Food Intake Without SuperTracker

OBJECTIVES…
This session will discuss alternative ways to complete a personal dietary analysis using methods and resources other than USDA’s SuperTracker, which will be discontinued after June 2018. This session will also address the benefits and drawbacks of diet tracking & will focus on ways to minimize the risk of unintended consequences(i.e. triggering disordered eating).
STANDARD 1. Identify the Dietary Guidelines and key recommendations.
STANDARD 2. Demonstrate knowledge of MyPlate (ChooseMyPlate.gov).
STANDARD 3. Demonstrate knowledge of healthy eating patterns.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE 9. Evaluate and analyze a personal dietary intake for one or more days according to the dietary guidelines and MyPlate.
Strand 6.Students will explore the current dietary guidelines and ChooseMyPlate.gov
