The speakers share their own experiences and are sure to inspire, encourage, and challenge us as we journey through the Synodal process in the parish. The second session is February 3; 12:30 to 1:30 pm followed by February 17 and March 3. All parishioners are most welcome. For more information contact Trudy Connelly at 819-743-2910. UPDATE - A Message from St. Mark’s Synodal Team “Many thanks to all who attended the first step of St. Mark Parish Synodal Process, ’Seeing’, on November 18, 2018. Our meeting was well attended by an enthusiastic group of parishioners who enjoyed sharing their faith and faith perspectives with one another. Please refer to the parish website for the summary report prepared by the synodal team (look under ‘Ministries’). The archdiocese has published their report summarizing all of the reports from the various parishes. You can view the reports of the different zones, including the English sector, at: www.diocesegatineau.org and click on Synodal Process and English Zone. The date of the second step of the Synodal Process journey, ‘Judging’, has not yet been announced by Archbishop Paul-André and his team. However, it will likely occur in late winter/early spring and once finalized the St Mark’s team will announce the plan for our parish. Looking forward to continuing this journey of faith with all of you! St Mark Synodal Team (Fr. John, Margie Voisin, Michelle Jones, Barry Engelhardt)

Thought of the week

Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, or insecure,

remember to whom you belong Ephesians 2 19-22

Men’s Cursillo The Men’s Cursillo began in November, 2018 beginning at 7 pm and continues until Sunday, April 8th. For more information, contact André Sirois at 819-685-1478 or go to http://www.ottawacursillo.ca/. On-line option for the weekly collection In a time when many of us use our plastic to pay for everything from our daily coffee to our weekly groceries and gas, it's often hard to remember to bring cash to drop in the collection basket. Not intentionally, of course, it’s just that many of us are not used to carrying cash anymore. Would you like to never have to worry about having cash on hand to drop into the collection basket? We have the perfect solution that’s a win/win for you and the parish: This service is being offered by the Archdiocese of Gatineau, which is absorbing all processing fees and, therefore, 100% of your donation is forwarded to our Parish. The service allows you to make donations and Mass intentions; select a one-time donation or set up a monthly donation. Payment options include cheque, credit card or automated withdrawals from your bank account. See the on-line giving symbol on our parish web site (stmarkaylmer.ca) and follow the simple instructions, complete the required fields and submit your request. You will receive confirmation of your transaction and you will have peace of mind knowing that your gifts contribute to support and maintain the services offered by your parish. And since you no longer require the parish envelopes, please let the parish office know as this will reduce time, effort and cost for the printing and preparation of the envelopes.

Envelopes for the collection - 2019 Please remember to pick up your 2019 church envelopes in the Marrevee room.
