Most parts of the Canary Island have got a subtropical climate, but differences in elevation allow for a variety of lanscapes, vegetation and animal life. For that reason, we can find diverse plant species like palm trees, pines, dragon trees and nopales, or prickly pears. There are also a important areas of laurisilva, or laurel tree forest.
