WATER MUSEUM

The first thing we did, was go to the auditorium, where guidelines were presented and given a brief explanation of the duties performed, among which was that of providing assistance to low-income families, giving them a job cultivating amaranth plants, which when they were ready to be used in the products they develop in the museum would be sold at a fair price for both parties, the museum and the people who work cultivating Quali belong to.

After explaining that we were in the auditorium, we were split into groups to make travel easier. The group you take the route was first we explain the features and benefits of amaranth, we got the explanation of how was the process of cultivation, which requires strict care because, by planting each plant must leave a gap of about 10cm for plants to achieve growth. They showed us a map of Mexico in the states in which there was amaranth, Puebla is a major by the way. We were shown on the same map the qualities he possessed, like the way they used it in their products.Starting the tour "presentation and explanation of the functions of the group" Quali”

At the end of this guide first explanation we had prepared an activity which could not develop due to lack of time, so proceed to the next stage of the journey where more than give us an explanation, we develop a dynamic, which involved placing a newspaper per person below us, then the rate of a song begin to circle dancing. Then we do an activity with an alleged "parachute", we had to make three laps give a ball in it, was somewhat complicated. After achieving such activity did one where we had to change places if they mentioned a feature that we had, to end this part of the course, all group members we covered with the parachute, (grabbing too hot in there) with this activity we showed the effects of the greenhouse effect, in which its main consequence is that the temperature on earth increased (by increasing the temperature of the earth's poles melt, causing the sea level to rise, and consequently that the villages found on the shores of the seas to flood and even disappear), and if this is going to reach a point where they no longer endure the temperature of our planet.

Upon completion of this activity we went to sit in it if I remember correctly is part of the nursery with the museum counts. The purpose of being there was to get some rest and solve a riddle about what had caused the cholera disease in a community, for this activity gave us clues and a map to try to resolve the problem. To end the activity and move to the next we were given pens they produced in the same museum, which were made based on amaranth.

In our next station told us how the system you have to use water baths in growing their flowers, (really do not remember very well this part of the journey as much as I remember, I use gray water amaranth crops). To conclude this stage we were shown a video about Quali group functions.

Following the tour showed us a kind of mechanisms by which according to the guide they saved the water and make it pay to irrigate the fields. Very simple but effective mechanisms, rather archaic for my taste.

To end the tour we were shown a small nursery, where they were bags containing boxes which grew amaranth plants. After we got the opportunity to make our own our own bag filled with fertilized soil where plants grow amaranth seedlings under guide will sprout the third day.

The water museum tour ended and we started our journey to the museum of mineralogy, where we had to stop browsing the lack of time and the hunger that we all had.

This trip was very interesting. Learned new things. Maybe it was that we could share the information we collect and make a better conclusion on what we learned and saw.
