Don’t Drive a Toyota By Alex Last year My Grandpa and I were driving down the road in Potoski to go back home to our cabin. All of a sudden this bright red Toyota goes flying down the like a racecar. My Grandpa quickly moved the car out of harms way into the left lane, while this old lady goes flying past us in the right lane going at least 105 mph. The next thing I new was the old lady’s car goes air born into this colossal brick sign. It used to say Pine Meadows now it said P,o,w,s. My Grandpa immediately stops the car and we watch her do three rollovers and bang into a tree. Then my grandpa and I ran like lightning over to the demolished Toyota, there was no movement in the car. My Grandpa tries with all his might to pry open the driver’s door. Finally exhausted my grandpa said,” the doors jammed.” Then he barked,” quick Alex go get the two big cables from the trunk of the jeep! So I ran like the wind to the trunk, popped it open and saw the cables. I picked them up and sped back to my grandpa and he hooked them onto

the driver’s door in the Toyota and onto the front of the jeep. He slowly climbed in and screams,” Alex get out of the way, I’m going to yank the door off!”

He pressed the pedal to the metal and “THWACK,” the door came right off its hinges. My Grandpa got out and we both ran over to the old lady. She was in there, and not in the best shape. She was unconscious and had a couple pieces of glass in her and her head was bleeding really badly.” She must have hit the steering wheel” I thought. “Quick Alex calls 911, no I’ll do it.”

5 minutes later the paramedics came and lifted her in to the ambulance. I walked over to the guy driving and said,” will she be okay?” “The guy says she’ll make a full recovery.” That’s enough driving for one day.
