Andesite with mafic tuff interbeds : grey-green vole. .jrpck with weakly banded tuffaceous inter layers; mainly' tuff between 64 and 72 ft. Considerable ejpidote seamingand impregnation between 54 and 61 ft.; a few seams appear to be pillow. salvages. Becomes moderately foliated below61 ft. Foliation at 500 to 55O to core axis.Approx. 5 7o to 1070 of rock consists of calc. and calc. -qtz. seaming (fracture filling) mainly jparallel to foliation, but .also some crosscutting. The tuffaceous sections carry up to 17o py.This section is weakly to moderately magnetic throughoutdue to dissem. magnetite. Moderately calcareous tostrongly calcareous in some tuffaceous sections.

Moderately Silicified Volcanic: compositional dark-greyand green-grey interlayering; well foliated; appears tobe a stretched, altered, matatuff fragmental. 570 qtz.' -calc. seaming with minor assoc. py. parallel to sub- -'parallel to foliation. Moderately calcareous.

Metavolcanic: finely fragmented "porphyrobreccia" tendinto porphyroblastic as at 141.5 to 162 ft. Impregnatedwith riticulate, wispy, fiber-like greenish alterationproducts; nearly non-calcareous. Massive weakly foliatedto unfoliated unit. Non-magnetic. Possibly a metatuff-lapilli.

At 281.5 to 283 ft., 3070 qtz. - calc. fracturefilling with % to 270 assoc. py.

Mafic Volcanic: grey-green, increasingly well foliated indownhole direction, pepuered with tiny C Imm') feldsparphenocrysts, moderately to strongly calcareous. At 289 to292.5 ft., heavily qtz. - carb, veined section (40Z qtz. -carb.) with 170 assoc. py.

Dacite: well banded to massive, very fine grained, grey-green to light green volcanic. Flow banded (compositionabandine parallel to foliation) . well foliated, and inpart sericitized; locally, magnetite 'has beensegregated into narrow lenticular strongly magneticclots, parallel to foliation. 57, to 1070 qtz. and qtz. -calc. fracture filling (seams and lenses) mainly sub-parallel to foliation; weakly to moderately calcareous.332 to 333.5 ft. well silicified section with atz.veining and 37* to 57, pv.In part weakly fractured: minor epidotization associatedwith fractures at some locations.
