Notice of ConstructionAvon Road to Thomas StreetSeptember 30 – October 22, 2019

The Town of Deep River will commence withconstruction to restore Avon Road (RidgeRoad to Thomas street) and a 200 metersection of lower Thomas Street (from thebottom of the upper hill heading east 200 M).Construction is expected to take placebetween the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.Monday through Friday.Please use alternate routes where possible toimprove site safety and avoid delays. Laneclosures and traffic delays should be expected.Please contact Public Works at 613-584-2000should you have any questions.Thank you for your patience as we improvethe state of our infrastructure.

NOTICEHYDRANT FLOW TESTING

Please be advised on Thursday October10th, 2019 Hydrant Flow Testing will beperformed on Montcalm Street.

The flow test will mainly effect the areaencompassed by Deep River Road and RidgeRoad to the East and West and Alder Streetand Huron Street to the North and South.Other streets in the proximity may experiencethe effects to a lesser degree.

Residents in these areas and throughoutTown may experience a drop in waterpressure and water may be rusty or cloudydue to flushing of the distribution system. Ifyou have rust-coloured water please run yourCOLD WATER TAPS ONLY (suggestedtaps: outside hose, bathtub or laundry tub)until the water is clear.

Please DO NOT use your hot water untilyou have clean running water again.

Flushing is part of a routine maintenanceprogram that is necessary to maintain theintegrity of the water system, removesediment from water mains, verify theproper operation of hydrants and valves,and maintain firefighting capability.
