Central Park 6450 Route 31, Cicero

Gateway Park 7900 St. Francis Dr, Bridgeport

In addition to a pavilion, the park has multiple baseball fields, and a community playground. The park encompasses 25 acres and provides endless opportunities for active recreation. Central Park is the official home of the Cicero Little League and the Cicero Falcons Football and Cheer teams.

Nestled in a neighborhood, Gateway Park features a handicap-accessible 1/2 mile walking trail. Children enjoy playing on the two playgrounds, including one built specifically for preschool-age children. As one of the largest Town parks (39 acres), the ball fields, basketball courts and wide open space can be used for a multitude of recreation activities.

Plank Road Park 5471 Mudmill Rd, Brewerton

The Town of Cicero’s largest park is 43 acres. In the park, visitors can limber up and stay in shape using the exercise stations. The 3/4 mile wood chip trail through a natural wooded setting provides an opportunity to escape for just a little bit. The playground area is located near the gazebo. The multi-use fields and sand volleyball court can host games big and small. This is also home to the Cicero Youth Soccer League.

Sheldon Park 8011 Route 31, Bridgeport

Skyway Park 5950 E Taft Rd, N Syracuse

This park is located near Interstate 81. Visitors can shoot hoops, use the playground, play tennis, exercise on the ball fields or use the pavilion for a picnic. It is also the home of the North Syracuse Little League.

As one of the most popular Town parks, Joseph F. William Memorial Park offers opportunities for both land and water activities. Three Eagle Scout-constructed pavilions are available to rent while the wedding gazebo is a popular setting for small weddings or formal pictures. The Rec Center is available to rent during the off season from swimming and ice fishing. During the summer months, lifeguards are on duty for swimming in the shallow warm waters of Oneida Lake. Water enthusiasts find it is a great place to launch their canoes and kayaks, while fishermen enjoy the floating dock for casting a line. The park has a shuffleboard court and playground area. During the busy season, additional parking is available across the street across the street. No dogs are allowed at this park from May to October.

Named after Bridgeport Fire Department’s First Chief, Harry Sheldon, this often-forgotten park is located on the banks of Chittenango Creek. Because the park is located on Route 31, it is NYS Bike Route #5 rest stop for cyclists passing through the area. For everyone else, it is a park that offers shade under the pavilion, a chance to relax or a great spot to do some stream fishing.

Reservations are accepted beginning January 1 and are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations can be made in person, by mail or online at cicero.recdesk.com.
