About TowMate, LLC

TowMate had its humble beginnings in the 1980's, some 20 plus years ago. Bryan Anderson, the founder of the

company, was working in the storage pool business in 1985 and often ran his own truck. Never asking his employ-

ees to do something that he wouldn't do, a call came one bitter cold night and off Bryan went. As he was working on

the job a thought came to him, someone should manufacture and sell wireless tow lights so that he would not need

to spend so much time in the cold. From that passing thought and wish, TowMate was born.

Bryan headed to the office the next morning with thoughts running through his mind of all of the possibilities of his

new invention. He did his diligent research and found that no one was currently offering wireless tow lights, so the

designing began. By 1989 production had begun on the worlds first and only full functioning wireless taillight system.

Bryan set out on a mission to change the way the world tows all those many years ago. In the beginning stages, he

would drive from city to city visiting with local tow companies, most of the time using his station wagon both as a

mode of transportation and as his hotel. As the idea caught on around the country due to some key people in the

industry really believing in the product and the business philosophy , TowMate was able to build the foundation for

what it has become today. Over time the feedback from customers using TowMate lights in the field led to many

new improvements and even new models of tow lights that are still offered today. Bryan's goal of changing the tow-

ing world continues today, with new innovations of products for the industry being developed more often than ever

before. TowMate was started with one product and now offers over 100 items including wireless tow lights, 2-wire

LED light bars, work lights, and more. TowMate can customize most of their products for customer specific needs.

Best of all is that all TowMate products are made in the USA and are all backed by the TowMate lifetime warranty on

electronics and LED’s.

Everything TowMate has been working towards has begun to culminate in the past couple of years. From the expan-

sion of our dealer network making the procurement of products and services a hassle free experience, to the refine-

ment of existing product lines, to the development of new technologies for safety lighting systems, we have dedi-

cated all of our resources to making our products more reliable, more versatile, and more available to our custom-

ers. Our current electronics achieve a better range than ever before (over 1,000 feet!) and are made to be compati-

ble with our iMON interactive monitoring system that informs you if you leave your light behind, in addition to other

features. The latest endeavor TowMate has set upon is the development of the Power-Link power line technologies.

These technologies make the installation of any LED safety lighting easier than ever by eliminating the need to run

wires all the way from a given light to its respective controller in the cab. With Power-Link technologies, you have the

power to completely customize the way your vehicle is seen with minimal effort required. Keep an eye out for more

TowMate’s “economy” wireless tow light measures in at

22” wide and contains 14 LED’s providing stop, tail, and

turn signals wirelessly. This is a basic unit, meaning that

it is not compatible with the iMON reminder system, it

has 90LB pull magnets with rubber boots, and is non-

upgradeable. It does carry the same great lifetime war-

23” Power-Link Lightbar comes complete with either a magnetic or hardware mount base and 6-button control pad. Both the lightbar and control pad in the cab install with just two wires (12V+ and Ground) from each item. The PLC-RX, 2-channel re-ceiver, has two independent outputs that can be linked to separate buttons on the PLC-TX6 . Both channels can be configured in-dividually to allow power through for marker lights, come on as a quad flash strobe when power is applied, quad flash only with the button it is linked to, or simply on/off. Each channel on the receiver provides 12V DC @ 60 Watts. The two channels can be tied together to double the output of the module.
