Interesting stuffIt was in the center of England. It has been
rebuilt many times. It was built from 1032 to 1100 It was a royal
residents/ prison/ and a fort.
White towerThe white tower is a keep. It is In the middle of the
castle. It is 90 ft.(3 stories) tall. It is the oldest part of the
castle. It has a via wooden staircase to get in. It later got
another entrance in the back.
Traitors gate Traitors Gate is the entrance for new kings and
queen. The reason its called Traitors Gate is because prisoners who
were guilty of treason floated to the castle this way.
The moatThe moat was not part of the original design. William
Longchamp dug it out but failed to fill it. Henry III built another
moat but also failed to fill his. Edward I filled the moat Henry
III had all ready dug.
