We got a certificate this week!
This week we have been learning about the journey people made on the Mayflower. 2020 is the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower journey, which began in Rotherhithe, Southwark.
400 years ago people stood up for their beliefs. Tired of being persecuted for their religion, they made a brave decision to make a journey to the new world.
We went to visit Rotherhithe and explored the area from where they set sail.
We also created pieces of poetry inspired by the journey that they made. Art was also created using techniques including pointillism.
It has been a fantastic way to end this half term.
MAYFLOWER 400
Once again, we had a wonderful
and memorable International
Evening which took us on the
journey alongside the
Mayflower.
There was fantastic singing ,
drumming and poetry as well as
delicious food to start.
Thank you to everyone who
came, contributed and
performed.
Each half term we are always amazed by
the thought and effort that goes into the
different homework projects.
Here are some of them.
Well done!
You will have received an email letting you know that the
consultation period to decide whether or not Robert
Browning should join the Bridges in a Hard Federation has
begun. The last 12 months working together have been a
great success and all three schools have continued to
develop and improve. We would love to make this
partnership permanent. Let us know what you think.
