TOURIST Visa for SPOUSE of European Union Citizen
All applicants must come in person to the Visa Application Centre. Upon consideration of the non exhaustive list of the following
documents, further supportive documentation may be requested in each individual case.
You are informed that the lack of any of the documents below, might result in the refusal of the visa application.
Legalized Marriage certificate(2) (Original and Photocopy) registered/recognized by the authorities of any European Union
country, otherwise kindly see the list of requirements for tourist Schengen visa.
Schengen Visa application form: The application must be completed, dated and signed.
ONE photograph (glued to the application): the photo must be recent (4,5cm x 3,5cm), clearly showing the face, the forehead
hairline and ears on a white background.
• Passport (Original and Photocopy of the identity pages). The passport must be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the
date of completion of their stay in the Schengen territory, with at least two blank pages available to stamp the visa.
• Photocopy of previous Schengen visas within last 3 years and other third countries valid visas in the last year if available.
Singaporean IC (e.g. employment card/ S pass/ Dependant pass/ Student pass/ Work permit/ PR card). Original and legalized
true copy (1). Re‐entry permit for PR should be provided too. This document must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the
intended date of departure from the Schengen territory.
In the case that current Singaporean IC is in process of renovation, proof from MOM or corresponding Singaporean authority
must be provided.A booking for a round‐trip airline ticket or printout of a confirmed reservation with the applicant's name (final destination
must be outside Schengen territory).
Valid passport of E.U. citizen (Original and legalized true copy(1) of the identity pages).
It is advisable to contact with the Spanish Embassy/Consulate in the corresponding issuing country of the documents in order to
clarify the procedure related to either legalizations or apostille in such country. You can check here the list of the

If in Singapore: notarized true copy legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Singapore. You

If outside Singapore: true copy by the corresponding Embassy/Consulate of Spain in the 3rd country.

(2) LEGALIZED/AUTHENTICATED OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS
• If the issuing country is member of The Hague Apostille Convention, the certificate must have the
APOSTILLE SEAL produced by the central authority of the issuing country. You can find more information

• If the issuing country is NOT a member of The Hague Apostille Convention: a DOUBLE LEGALISATION
procedure is required (1st by the issuing country and 2nd by the Embassy/Consulate of Spain in that
issuing country)
• BIRTH / MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES issued by countries members of the CONVENTION ON THE ISSUE OF
MULTILINGUAL EXTRACTS FROM CIVIL‐STATUS RECORDS signed at Vienna on 8 September 1976, do not
need APOSTILLE NOR LEGALISATION. You can check here the list of countries which are parties of the

• OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS produced in any language different from English/French/Spanish, must be
TRANSLATED either to Spanish or English and the translation duly legalized by the by
Embassy/Consulate of Spain in that issuing country.
