Introduction to Goa Tourism

Page 5: Tourism Scenario of Goa

Goa Tourism Development Corporation(GTDC) is the governmental organization which is responsible for better growth and development of tourism in Goa, all the rules and regulations are formed by GTDC.

According to stats, tourism is Goa’s primary industry as it handles 12% of all foreign tourist arrivals in India.

In the recent times tourism in Goa has witnessed a bit of decline, because of overuse of its beaches in past and therefore GTDC is planning for alternate tourism in Goa such as increase in adventure water sport activities in Goa and many more.

Suggestion- Goa is one of the best tourist attraction that our country is blessed with, which provides lots of FOREX to us and can continue to be so for many more years to come, but has to keep sustainability as its primary aim to focus.
