NATURTEJOGEOPARKOF THEMERIDIONALMESETANaturtejo Global Geopark, which unites the municipalities of Castelo Branco, Idanha-a-Nova, Nisa, Oleiros, Proença-a-Nova and Vila Velha de Ródão, extending in the near future to Penamacor, has as goals to value the locals that act like key- evidences of the Earth History, boosting the sustainable and responsible tourism and promoting the local communities. The wide geomorphological, geological, paleontological, and geomining heritage sheltered in a multimillenary cultural landscape show elements of national and international relevance reflected in a History full of episodes and in a rural Culture with unique elements, where Pagan, Roman, Arab, Jewish and Christian influences blend themselves.
