HISTORY IS STILL BEING WRITTEN...EXTRA-THIN SELF-WINDING TOURBILLON 5377

THE COMPLEXITY OF AN EXTRA-THIN MOVEMENT IS EQUALLED ONLY BY

THE ELEGANCE AND SLENDERNESS OF THE WATCH ITSELF.

7.7MM - THE ART OF BREGUET POCKET WATCH No 4691 - BREGUET MUSEUM

THE REFLECTION OF A UNIQUE STYLE. PURE LINES AND A DELICATE DESIGN.

WATCH No 4691 IS A HALF-QUARTER REPEATER FEATURING EQUATION OF TIME, LUNAR CYCLE, CALENDAR AND POWER-RESERVE DISPLAYS.

THE QUEST FOR SLENDERNESS AND PURE STYLING HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY EXPRESSED THROUGH THE THINNEST POSSIBLE MOVEMENTS.

AESTHETIC HARMONY AND HOROLOGICAL EXCELLENCE.WATCH No 4691 EMBODIES THE QUINTESSENCE OF THE ART OF BREGUET.

Pocket watch N° 4691, sold on October 13th 1831 to Lord Henry

Seymour Conway, is one of the most complex thin watches ever

created and produced by Antoine-Louis Breguet. This exception-

ally slim 7.7mm half-quarter repeater model is equipped with a

particularly large number of horological complications for a thin

watch from this period. Perfectly reflecting this constant quest for

elegance and aesthetic purity cherished by Breguet, this creation

also showcases a wealth of watchmaking expertise faithfully

cultivated since the 18th century. In 2013, this timepiece joined

the prestigious collection of the Breguet Museum.

POCKET WATCH No 4691 - BREGUET MUSEUM

“HE DREW OUT THE MOST DELICIOUS THIN WATCH THAT BREGUET HAD EVER MADE. FANCY, IT IS ELEVEN O’CLOCK, I WAS UP EARLY.”

Honoré de Balzac, Eugénie Grandet, 1833

EXTRA-THIN SELF-WINDING TOURBILLON 5377

Featuring an exceptionally slender 7mm-high case and combining

ancestral expertise with contemporary innovations, the Classique

Extra-Thin Self-Winding Tourbillon 5377 is currently the world’s

thinnest self-winding tourbillon. And probably the most elegant.

Its dial features a daring play on the paradoxical asymmetry of

symmetrical effects to create a subtle and fascinating overall

impression. Intersecting lines, criss-crossed curves and four

different engine-turned patterns combine to create a complex yet

delightfully restrained work of art. Brilliantly merging æsthetic

purity with horological complexity, this timepiece is above all

a tribute to the tourbillon, the supreme complication invented by

Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801. History is still being written ...
