TOUR Transylvania!

Join us for our 2019 tour to Transylvania! We will view magnificent scenery, see quaint villages abounding in traditional culture and art, UNESCO World Heritage sites and historic manor houses. We’ll sample bountiful regional cuisines and locally produced wines. The Romanian, Hungarian, Saxon German and Roma locales we’ll visit reflect the varied cultures of this ancient land. We’ll be introduced to craftspeople, see ethnic costume and embroidery, be entertained by folk musicians, and visit beautiful village churches, palaces, and museums.
Our small group will travel in our own minibus and stay in comfy hotels and pensions, enjoy overnight village hospitality and stay in a historic guesthouse. All breakfasts, most lunches, festive dinners and wine tastings are included, as are admissions to museums and historic sites.
Our tour is organized by Joyce Corbett, a museum curator and specialist in Central European folk art and culture. We will also be accompanied by our experienced English-speaking local guide, an expert on Transylvania and Romanian history and culture. Our tour originates and ends in Budapest, Hungary.
