A. BACKGROUND

Special #egion of 9og-akarta or more often 3e refer to 9og-akarta

: ;og2a is one of the oldest areas in Indonesia. 9og-akarta is the second

oldest after the pro4ince of East ;a4a Pro4ince. ;og2a possess a histor- that

is essential for the esta1lishment of the $omeland milestone.

9og-akarta name comes t3o 3ords, A-odh-a and !arta

said !arta is the name of 9og-akarta, 3hich 3e kno3 as the =it- 3hich

has the slogan 0ehati =omforta1le appear.

0esides 1eing kno3n to histor- ;og2a also keep a 4er- attracti4e

tourism potential 4isitors 1oth foreign or local tourists. With 3isdom and

culture held ;og2a 1ecome one of the main tourist destinations in

9og-akarta.

Along 3ith the de4elopment of technolog- if -ou 3ill 1e easier to

choose if -ou 3ant acilities 4isit ;og2a and seek information tourist

places -ou 3ill 4isit. 9ou can choose from 2asmine>class hotels to 7 star

hotels in transport -ou also can choose the mode of transport that -ou 3ant

to 1ring -our o3n car, or 1ike rental is also car rental in ;og2a. ?ots of

rental cars to choose from 1ut -ou ha4e to choose a place that is the

official car rental and ensure -our comfort during kesalamatan also -ou

department $ealth Pol-technic Semarang 3ent to 9og-akarta. $is 2o1 is to train

us to speak English. Cur destinations 3ere 0oro1udur Temple and Malio1oro. We

had a pro2ect called English Tour Practicing/. In that pro2ect 3e had to take

con4ersation 3ith three Nati4e Speakers, and then make a report of it. We 3ere

di4ided into some groups. Each group consist of three mem1ers. The mem1ers of

m- group 3ere, Nur A8i8ah aelasufah, Enggar itria Nur Susanti and me

Nununk "3i Nur !hairunnissa.

At *+.** am 3e all gathered at the securit- station, after that 3e pra-erand take a picture together 3ith all Second grade students Nursing department and

Mr. Gunung, We all set off at *+.)* am. We departed 3ith three 1us there are 0us

A, 0us 0, and 0us = and I sta- in 1us 0 and mem1er of m- group sta- in different

1us 3ith me. In our trip to 9og-akarta, 3e felt happ- and not 1ored 1ecause

committee ha4e se4eral games for us. The games consist of some uestion, if 3e

can ans3er 3e get a gift like snack, pulse handphone, etc and 3e sing together.

At *D.&* am 3e arri4ed at 0oro1udur Temple and 3eather 4er- hot. And

all mem1er of m- group immediatell- hunting nati4e to take con4ersation. We got

in con4ersation 3ith three nati4e speakers in 0oro1udur. The- 3ere Esther from

$olland, ?i-ana from =heko #epu1lic, and Mr=arl- from =hina, 3e took picturetogether 3ith the nati4es. After 3e had done our dut-, 3e 3alked around and took

man- pictures together.

After 3e 4isited 0oro1udur 3e continue our trip to Malio1oro 3e arri4ed

at *&.** pm. In malio1oro 3e 3alked around the 0ringhar2o market. We had free

time for shopping in Malio1oro and then 3e 3ent 1ack to dormitor-.

I think our trip to 9og-akarta 3as so fun and useful for us 1ecause 3e can

ela1orate our a1ilit- in English especiall- in speaking, and talking 3ith nati4e

speakers ha4e a different taste so that 3e kno3 the real condition in English

speaking. I agree if this acti4it- 3ill 1e held again ne@t -ear.

person. And the 1eside of Esther is aelasufah she is the mem1er of m- group.

The last Enggar itria in the right she is mem1ers of m- group too.

Esther er3ei2en, came from $olland. We met Esther 3hen 3e 3ere

3alking in 1eside of 0oro1udur Temple that sa3 her 3alking in 0oro1udur

garden. In there, Esther is taking pictures and let 3e in4ite him to inter4ie3 a1out

Indonesia. We 3ant to ask a1out his opinion a1out 0oro1udur temple.

She 4isit in Indonesia to spend her holida-s. She said that Indonesia is a

3onderful and interest countr-. That onl- one of interest is 0oro1udur Temple.

She is 4er- happ- that can spend his holida-s in Indonesia. $er email is

The second tourists that 3e encountered 3as ?i-ana, 3e met her at the

inside the 0oro1udur Temple. She looks so a hurr-, 1ut 3hen 3e asked her to talk

for a 3hile she 3ould grant our reuest, and 3e also feel happ-.

?i-ana is a nati4e of =heko #epu1lic. She came to Indonesia 3ith her

friends to 4isit 0oro1udur Temple. ?i-ana said that Indonesia is a =ountr- 3ith

full of friendl- people, she said also that Indonesia also includes the State 3here

the 3eather is 4er- hot. She don6t ha4e Email or ace1ook, 3e didn6t ha4e an

oppotunit- to ask some uestion a1out her. 0ut 3ere uite happ- althought 3e

0ecause she 3as in a hurr- 3ith her riends, then she e@cused herself to

go first, 1ut 1efore she left 3e had asked her to take pictures 3ith it first. And 3e

sa- a 1ig thank -ou for taking the time ?i-ana that alread- for us e4en though she

3as 4er- 1us-. $opefull- 3hen i 3ent to 9og-akarta ne@t time, i could meeet her

again and ha4e some nice con4ersation 3ith her.

The third tourist 3ho meet m- group are =arl- his 3ife name 0oo>-u.

The- come from =hina 3ith his friends there name Anguo, 0i, =hang>cchang

and Enlai. It is the first time for =arl- come to Indonesia 3ith his famil-. When

3e 3ill practice little con4ersation 3ith them, =arl- 3as re2ect our group. The-

look so rushed. 0ut, after he ans3ered se4eral our uestions, the- stoped their

stride. And he said that 0oro1udur is 3onderful to other place in the 3orld.

domestic and foreign tourists. This makes 9og-akarta used as a

4acation spot as a place to 4isit and stud- tour.

). The charm of nature and culture in 0oro1udur temple make

insightful Stud- Tour participants gro3 in culture archipelago.

&. The uniueness and distincti4e characteristics of of 9og-akarta made

more famous in the outside 3orld as 3ell as generating foreign

e@change for Indonesia.

respect the cultures that are still strong in Indonesia and to de4elop a

sense of national unit- 3ithout distinction of class, race, culture, and

religion.
