Tour Guide Exam Preparation

Are you interested in becoming a licensed City of Charleston tour guide?

You can prepare for taking the city’s tour guide licensing exam and master the City of Charleston Tour Guide Manual

with this course. Learn how to begin your own tour routes, discover all of Charleston’s beautiful landmarks, participate in

group tours and oral exams as well as walk and ride through Charleston’s peninsula and historical areas.

Charleston Native Tours: City of Charleston Tour Guide Exam Preparation $349

Both courses are held at Trident Technical College’s Main Campus in North Charleston but also include offsite tours. Registration fee

includes the Official City of Charleston Tour Guide Manual (498 pages) and all private and group/class tours. It does not include

admission for any events, museums or food and drink during the tours. A certificate of completion will be issued to those achieving a

passing score of 90 percent. Students also receive immediate sponsorship and a sign-on contract with Charleston Native Tours upon

completion of the course.

Note: The City of Charleston Tour Guide Exam is a separate exam given only by the City of Charleston Tourism Department.
