Tough-Copter GX Helicopter with Gyro Thank you for your purchase of Protocol's Tough-Copter GX RC Helicopter with Gyro. You are about to experience the best of what remote control light has to offer. We strongly recommend that you take the time to read this manual thoroughly. It contains many tips and instructions on how to get the most out of this aircraft, and maintain it for long life. As with any aircraft, this is a precision flying machine. Treat it well and enjoy all the fun it has to offer, flight after flight. Tough-Copter GX Helicopter with Gyro! We know accidents Place the provided USB wire into a USB port on a computer. The wire will light up. Place the other end into the helicopter. The light in the USB wire will go dark while charging. Charging time is approximately 25 minutes for approximately 8 minutes flying time. The light in the USB wire will turn on once charging is complete. Charging through USB (if included with model) a. b. c. d. *Recharge the battery when the helicopter cannot lift any higher than ½ foot off the ground. Fig.5 1. Pull out the cover and take out the charging wire (Fig.3) 2. Turn off the power to the helicopter and turn the remote on. Insert the charging plug into the socket on the helicopter (Fig.4) 3. The power/charging indicator will turn from red to green while charging. The indicator will turn red once charged. 4. The helicopter will have about 8 minutes of continuous flight time after approximately 25 minutes charging. If your helicopter rotates in flight even when you are not using the remote control to make it do so, then you can adjust the trim dial to correct it. If your helicopter is rotating left, turn the trim dial to the right (see diagram). Continue to adjust this dial until the helicopter flies straight. If your helicopter is rotating right, turn the trim dial to the left (see diagram). Continue to adjust this dial until the helicopter flies straight. Spotlight on/off Hi/Lo speed Trim Dial The helicopter features a spotlight. The spotlight automatically turns on with the helicopter. If you wish to turn off the spotlight, just press the indicated button on the remote control. Spotlight This helicopter has high and low speed modes. Low speed is recommended for beginners. High speed is great for seasoned pilots. Just press the button on the remote control to switch between low and high speed. Hi-Lo Speed Modes HAVE FUN, BUT SAFETY FIRST ! Never attempt to modify function of vehicle or controller or attempt repairs using parts other than those supplied by Protocol.
