During the days, 9 – 10.03, all teams arrive to Riga. Project coordinator and

coordinator assistant meet partners at the airport and organize transfer to Hotel

Konventa Seta 3*.

After partners arriving we had free

time and use it for first walking in Old Riga,

saw Freedom Monument, main Orthodox

Cathedral and drink coffee at the 27th floor

of hotel Radisson with panoramic view of

Riga…

In the evening was

organized first greeting –

all partners had together

dinner in hotel restaurant.

Coordinators from every partners schools was

already familiar and at dinner was very warm,

benevolent atmosphere… From Garkalne school in

dinner participate project coordinator Inara, teacher

Oksana, which participate in 1st visit in Turkey and

teacher Astra, which going to the Greece for the 3rd

meeting. All was very glad

to meet old and to get

acquainted friends.

09.00 After breakfast all participants with school bus drove to Garkalne.

There they wait headmaster greetings and students prepare a little concert with

Latvian and Russian children songs. And theater – Traditional Latvian Fairy Tale

“War birds and beasts”.

After concert

partners start talking

about project questions.

First day we talk about

meeting results in Turkey, reminisce Christmas cards doing and

receiving process, discussed about Logo competition…All

together we awarded Logo competition winner with project Logo

souvenir.

After lunch in 13.00

partners went to excursion to Rundale palace

and Bauska Castle. During the way Gide Zane

talk about Latvian history, show all

interesting objects and answer at the

questions, which ask participants about

Latvia.

At 18.00 we had dinner in restaurant

Mezotne, after what went to the hotel back.

After breakfast in hotels

partners went to Garkalne county

council. There was organized

meeting with press and City

Council Mārtiņš Gunārs Bauze-

Krastiņš. Partners talk about

program Erasmus+, which aims to

increase the quality and relevance

of qualifications and skills,

reflecting the importance of

education and training in EU and

national policy agendas. It aims to boost people’s personal development and job

prospects. City Council talk about support, which try do city to school, about

importance of international cooperation for increasing motivation of teachers and

students, about new perspectives of

educational processes with using of other

countries experience.

At 13.00 we had lunch at a local

restaurant in Garkalne and after went to

excursion in Old Riga. This excursion was

especially interesting for participants, which

never been in Latvia. Partners noted very

clear streets of our city.

This evening

was very special

because of visit to

Latvian National

Opera. We enjoyed

well-known ballet

“Copelia” with

choreography Aivars

Leimanis. Some

partners saw this ballet in such theatres, as Athens and

Bucharest and they noted great dance of Latvian artists.

This day was full of hard work…

From the morning partners start visits

classrooms. Children of 1-3 grade prepare

greetings, short songs, poems, and posters

about all project

countries. They meet

guests with worry and

interest – for many of

them it was first talking

with real foreign people.

They start understand,

why they learn English

and many of them try

talk. Guests was very

friendly, joke with

children and meeting in each class finished with

fun. It was great experience of communication for

children.

After

lunch, we

continue project work until evening. Points of

our discussions was:

Discussion about Fairy tales, chosen in

every school for project. Presentations of Fairy

Tales.

14.03.2015

In the morning we had last meeting in

hotel conference room:

Final evaluation, certificates of attendance,

questions and answers.

We decide, that in Greece we must have more

time working with our project WEB disain and

content, because it is difficult for part of

partners.

After lunch, we went to Sigulda.

Excursion to Turaida, Sigulda, Cave of Devil…

Last day was full of best impressions. After hard work, partners had so many

emotions, so many joke and fun! Even unusually sunny for Latvia March weather

keep up our mood.

Farewell dinner in medieval restaurant Rozengrals was the last point in our

saturated and productive meeting.
