Termite Treatment:

Over the past year, the crew have been bringing the termite situation under control in the village.

A lot of work goes into this treatment four times a year. The treatment is applied to both the interior and exterior of each villa.

The crew safely removes the contents from the kitchen cabinets. Each cabinet, door and draw is carefully inspected. The treatment is then applied, 3 days later they come back in and clean the kitchen area and replace the contents.

To this!!! Banana tree update:

In the last edition we told you about a fungus that had infected the banana trees in Toucan Valley.

We would like to thank everyone who donated to the banana project. A full treatment has now been applied to the affected trees.

The affected trees were first covered in calcium substance then the roots where given a calcium and sulphur mix to get rid of the fungi.

Lesley and the crew spent time mixing the solution and carrying for the trees.

Due to the amount donated, the crew have now planted a further 60 Banana trees and 40 Plantain trees in Toucan Valley. The new trees will start producing fruit in 7-8 months.

Latest TV Community NewsFresh Toucan Valley Tilapia Anyone?

The fish pond was cleaned last week. And moving forward, the plan will be to clean to it every 6 months.

The tanks by the pool are currently being refurbished and will house the baby tilapia.

We are hoping to introduce crabs and shrimp to the other tanks in the near future.

And...while they were cleaning, they caught a few of the large tilapia and the village enjoyed fresh fish for dinner!

A large “cluster” of cases are now located along the northern zone of Costa Rica near the Nicaraguan border.

Latest Covid 19 Update As Of June 13th/’20 (excerpt from Costa Rica Star)

A large electrical storm hit the mountain a few weeks ago dropping over 10 inches of rain.

The storm circled the village for more then 2 hours with lightning strikes near by.

Unfortunately the lighting took out multiple Internet dishes on the roofs of villas.

They have all now been fixed by sky fibre.

However, if you have a problem with internet while in the village please contact Jon on WhatsApp @ +506 8899 8332

Let’s Name Our Waterfall Below!Surrounding Toucan Valley, we have many trails and wonderful waterfalls.

We would like to start naming the waterfalls (there are four of them) starting with the closest one to the village that sits on the border of Toucan Valley.

Therefore, your board of directors would like to put out a challenge to all our shareholders and lot owners to come up with a name for this magnificent waterfall.

So please submit your suggestions to name this waterfall to [email protected] and we will let you know the winner in a future newsletter.

Note: The following pictures are all the same waterfall at different times of the year.
