Our History

1989

Established PT. TIMAS Suplindo

TIMAS was first established by the Entong family because they foresee an opportunity in the service business with few competitors.

Certified with ASME Stamp

To be recognized by both international and national customers, TIMAS decided it was time to certify their fabrication workshop Serang with an ASME Stamp. With it, TIMAS gained approval from global customers that needed its fabrication expertise and cleared all doubts about its fabrication quality.

1St Entering Pulp & Paper Field

Soon after establishing, TIMAS received its first service contract in Pulp & Paper Field around the West Java region, Indonesia.

1993

Acquired Fabr icat ion Workshop Serang with capacity of over 13.000m2

With more complex service contracts requiring higher capabilities, TIMAS decided to invest by acquiring a fabr icat ion workshop located in Serang to support the complexity of customer‘s demand.

1St Entering Oil & Gasand Petrochemical Field

Knowing that TIMAS abilities could be implement in other fields, TIMAS managed a breakthrough by being awarded a contract in both oil & gas and petrochemical fields.

TIMAS has dedicated fabrication resources to ensure delivery in line with project schedule requirements.

Construction

Construction and fabrication are organized to meet:

• Onshore plant facilities in Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Power, Refinery, Industrial & Petrochemical fields• Greenfield projects with new platforms, jackets, pipelines and umbilicals• Brownfield activities to upgrade as necessary existing facilities within project execution.

TIMAS provides a full range of installation services including:

• Onshore Plant installation for Oil and Gas and general Industrial facilities• Pipeline Installation including shore approach / beach pull, trenching, tie-in, riser installation, sectional replacement, pre-commissioning (Flooding, Cleaning, and Gauging) and hydrotest.• Platform Installation, including pile and conductors installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up assistance.• Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flexible pipeline (SURF) installation including tie in, riser installation and pre- commissioning (Flooding) and hydrotest• Brownfield work, including construction, hook-up, commissioning and start-up assistance

TIMAS also owns the Indonesian flag Derrick and Pipe Laying Barge DLB 01, which is ideally suited for providing competitive installation solutions.

TIMAS is a 100% Indonesian owned local company, which promotes the use of local products. TIMAS insures that the highest Safety and Quality standards are maintained during every installation campaign.

Pre-Comm., Comm. & Start-Up

Initiated right from the beginning of design phase, this activity aims to validate the construction integrity and confirms that the facilities are delivered in a safe, reliable and operational condition for complete customer satisfaction.

Pre-commissioning, Commissioning & Start-Up is the last visible step of a project execution process. It moves the project from the “end of construction” to the “near operation” status. This phase covers initial and primary static and dynamic tests, including performance tests.

TIMAS strengthened its core business in Sumatera by establishing another fabrication yard at Jl. Duri-Dumai Kulim Km. 9, Kecamatan Mandau-Duri, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Riau. The purpose is to get a better foothold throughout Sumatera Island.
