The LSU Center for Internal Auditing is the premier internal audit program in the world and is a model for similar programs in other schools and countries. The Daily Reveille, LSU’s student-run newspaper, was recently named the nation’s best all-around student newspaper by the Society of Professional Journalists. The LSU College of Art & Design’s Robert S. Reich School of Landscape Architecture is consistently ranked as a top school in the country in undergraduate education. The LSU TigerRacing Team is the only competitive collegiate FSAE team in Louisiana. The team designs and builds a racecar from scratch every year and tests it on the track at national and international arenas. The College of Science is the top producer of African American PhDs and women PhDs in chemistry in the U.S. U.S. News & World Report ranked the E. J. Ourso College of Business’ Flores MBA program ninth in the nation for enrollment of women in the 2014-15 academic year. Through the College of Engineering, LSU is the only university in North America where future petroleum engineers can get hands-on training in well control by working at a full-scale well control research and training facility, the Petroleum Engineering Research & Technology Transfer Laboratory.
