Upcoming Club Events Mid-Week Run Tuesday 5th June The May Mid-Week event will be a get-together for morning tea at a convenient restaurant/coffee shop on the Gold Coast. Details will be advised at the next club meeting. Note it will be held on a Tuesday this month not Wednesday. Sunday Run 10th June
The Sunday run will be a tour through the Gold Coast hinterland, stopping at the Saltwater Park
Recreation Area for a BYO morning tea before continuing on to the Tallai Country Club for a pub
lunch. Due to the limited table/bench facilities at the park, members are requested to bring tables

MONTHLY MEETING JAGUAR DRIVERS’ CLUB OF QUEENSLAND INC. GOLD COAST REGISTER
HELD AT HINTERLAND HOTEL NERANG QLD. – 30th April 2018
The Chairman opened the meeting at 7.08 and greeted all members and guests and in particular, Jim Reid, President of the Jaguar Drivers Club Queensland and his wife Maureen; Ted and Desley King; and Peter Davidson.
Apologies: Ruth Willmott, Caroline Coulston, Robin & Junita Kup-Ferroth, Debbie Duncan, Joan Gracie, May Gaudion, Dale Dimmack, Richard & Carol Mercer.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: Taken as read. There was no business arising from the Minutes.

Treasurer’s Report: Web a/c accrued $11.18 interest for a balance of $9,905.09. Business a/c accrued $0.27 interest for a balance of $1,644.02.

Past Events: David Willmott reports: The Sunday run was full of superlatives (Dick & Lorraine Kennedy 15 April) with a run through the stunning beauty of the Numinbah Valley, only Jaguar motor cars were presented including Dick's blue F-Type, an E-Type, Mk.V, stopping Yeldan for morning tea, then onto Eltham Pantry for beautiful lunch, delightful, a fantastic day with treats galore. Future Events: David Willmott reports: The mid-week run (David Willmott 2 May) will commence at 8.30 for 9.00am on Wednesday with a drive through Beaudesert to Wyralong Dam for morning tea, to Boonah, then onto Lake Maroon for a BYO picnic lunch. Ron Gaudion reports: Upcoming Sunday "Mother's Day" lunch (Ron Gaudion 13 May) at the Cedar Lakes Country Resort, 3 courses for $35.00/person payable today, meet 11.30am for 12.00 noon at the venue. General Business: The President Jim Reid spoke generally on his position and desire to visit as many of the regional Registers as possible, and specifically, 1.. At meeting 9 April fees were agreed to and are set out in the book of minutes; 2.. The proposal that the seven regional Chairmen be the State's seven Vice-Presidents was a dumb idea and was dumped; 3.. The "merit badge" limitation to three per annum is to be changed to a system where every region will be asked to submit their own proposals with no limit; 4.. The accumulation of old Jaguar memorabilia once destined for junk will now be capable of being kept by the Club which will facilitate a storage area for same.

Di Cooper announced that an afternoon tea will be offered in memory and a celebration of the life of her late husband, Terry Cooper, set for 1.00-3.00pm next Sunday (6 May) at Ashmore. John Porter reports: set of JAG101 British racing green number plates available. Queensland web site shows past Committee members and needs to be updated. Roger Gibson reports: attended Jaguar gathering during the Easter period in Invercargill in New Zealand's South Island, lots of vehicles, classics, a beautiful day, with Jag cars appearing on every turn.
Lucky Door Prize: David Willmott orchestrated the drawing of the prizes, to wit: 1.. Jane Mikkelsen - goodies from the Eltham Pantry; 2.. Roy Bayliss - won a red wine; 3.. Peter Davidson - key ring; 4.. Stuart Dawson - white wine. Supper: Ray Howlett makes a special thankyou to the supper provided by Marilyn Porter, Chris Miers and Jane Mikkelsen Meeting closes at 7.43pm. Arthur Kontalis Stand-in Secretary.
